I don’t follow Carlson but l get drips and drabs. I gather some of his bigger supporters aren’t such big supporters anymore.
I happened to be driving yesterday when Trump held a press conference that was aired on my local radio station. The first part of it was all about the rescue mission of a couple US pilots that were downed deep in enemy territory, and it was some fascinating stuff hearing about the unclassified nuts and bolts of the whole operation. I thought for a moment that Trump’s a pretty good wartime President.
And then it turned into “bridge and power” day for Iran and l can’t help but think the guy is going off the rails. Somehow we have to come out of this thing with a foothold of support within Iran.

That guy was a big deal in Cincinnati. In 1993 he sold out 5 shows in a row in one of our largest concert venues. Cincy had a strong parrot-head population.
I can’t say l was ever a big fan, but he was one of those “I’d pay $5 to see him” guys for me.
And that actually happened in 1996. I was driving and listening to a local rock station when the DJ came on and announced that “Freddy and the Fishsticks was playing a smaller downtown bar that night…and rumor has it that Freddy and the Fishsticks is really Jimmy Buffett…” And tickets were $5. Well shit..
This is back when Ticketmaster tickets were sold at department stores like JCPenny, so l beelined it to the nearest department store and scored a couple tickets.
Jimmy was noticeably shitfaced. His other guitarist was even more shitfaced. It was a pretty fun experience. They played a lot of covers l recall.

His Landshark franchise and beer is pretty darn good.. Its one of my go to spots when I make my annual trek down there.. I like the Landshark Lager beer..... It's better than some of the more traditional lagers on the market... Not the biggest JB fan but I dig the laid back persona...

Saw Buffett 7 times, In 3 states. Freddie & the fish sticks days, in small clubs were unreal fun college nights!
