My hunch is.... Gabriel might be on the out, maybe.

I think they may find a roster spot for Bryson Barnes - practice squad in the least.

    https://www.fox13now.com/sports/bryson-barnes-accounts-for-5-tds-utah-state-beats-air-force-49-30

Bryson Barnes accounts for 5 TDs, Utah State beats Air Force 49-30

Well, Berry has clearly stated that he wants 3 QB's on the 53 man roster and 1 on the practice squad.  That means 4 QB's in the building.  That would mean, Green goes to the PS.  Although if he progresses enough he might push Gabriel to the PS.  So, I see it as Watson & Sanders as the 2 active QB's and Gabriel as the emergency QB.

I know none of us are big on Dylan, but Green is such a huge project. I would be somewhat shocked if he ever starts beyond a random last game of the year because every other QB is injured situation. Gabriel on a decent team could be a adequate backup.

           Perhaps, but it's also accurate.

The more I have branched out into the content world, the deeper I've gone into that medium, the more I've discovered how much of it is a ruse.

Minimum investment, minimum quality, miminum football IQ.

Maximum content quantity, maximum content "triggers" to draw the most eyes.

I've been invited on 4 "shows" or podcasts by content creators now.  I'm 3/4 on my parts being clipped or edited out because, as I was told by the first podcast host "not hyping up the prospect (Dart) doesn't get my audience to watch".

You're being played with great use of cliche'/bait headlines.

The Davon Booth signing could be a steal. He reminds me of a fast Earnest Byner, similar build.

This isn't about not rooting for someone to succeed.  It would be insane if this kid could come in and play a MLB or SAM role.  Hell, I'd be happy if he just became a good special teams contributor.  That unit really needs to improve and he's the type to take the business approach to ST, and make a solid living/career out of doing so.

I'm not saying *YOU* are.  I'm saying the content is formulaic, to the point of delusion, specifically to generate unreal expectations from fans and to draw as many eyes as possible.  It's self-serving for the content creator and not a healthy contribution that is the greater conversation the game of football is.  That's all I'm saying.

ok then I agree, and yes just being a invitee means making the practice squad would be a triumph

That applies especially to "news" slanted both for what Democrats want to hear as well as what Republicans want to hear. They are both on the yellow brick road to Nirvana if you believe any of it either way. And since it is done by lazy prognosticators, I prefer to call it the Goldbrick Road.?

I'm sure you've more than noticed the parallel's between sports and political news stations the last 10 years.

If I get the time, I'll post the recording, or at minimum the screenshots, of the Kansas City podcast I was kicked off of mid-show.  Pretty sure I still have them?   The only way to win the game against propaganda of any form is not to play.

So the clip from my recording (they were recording the session & I was as well) isn't available. And I highly doubt those two clowns will speak to me again (fine with that)  I had a friend of mine hook me up with the new computer & the clip was on the old one, sadly.  Anywho, I was invited by this group, who discovered our website through my business parter, because they all got hung up on the RAS score.   They wanted to talk about the draft class and they started off with the "steal of the offseason", Deneric Prince.   I let them talk, acknowledged some things, then politely asked what games they watched and charted.  They posted, you guessed, highlight film.  Highlights tell us little-to-nothing.    But the thing about highlight film is that it's already done, clips cut and edited together and narrative already painted.   So you can overlay yourself talking over it, save --> give it a clickbait title-->publish -->BAM.     No concern for accuracy, no concern whether you're assessment will be valid in good time.   Just eyes and bullshit now, who cares about credibility, talent or quality content?

@syd  This type of language should look familiar.

                             Screenshot2026-05-02111246.thumb.png.3b9eaa235bc8aef60f6d04418d12e4c4.png

I charted 6 games, brought clips into the show from 3 of those games.  I showed a couple of the good things, but the biggest red flags were impossible to miss. Flags that skewed my interpretation so wildly, the most simple explanation was to tell them that, despite being an incredible athlete for the position, Deneric's running style was so inefficient that it won't translate to the NFL.    They had to "end the show early".    They didn't, they just didn't want me there anymore.   They continued taping and published their nonsense all the same.    I left a comment on the youtube page, which was removed.  So I left my assessment on another page that had cutups of Deneric, which you can see below.

3 years later, here we are.

                             Them.

                             - NOT the next Isaiah Pacheco   X

                            - Not a hidden gem  X

                            Me.

                            - UDFA                                          *

                            - Never saw NFL snaps         *

Like I've said, this sort of thing is self-serving content just meant to generate an audience while feeding that audience as much bullshit as possible.   No heart, no eye for talent, style with zero substance and really no true love for the game of football.     It's about clout and views.   What's the worst about it? This shit is ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE.

I'm rooting for Logan Fano, Spencer's brother, to make the Browns special teams. He was predicted to be a 5/6th round draft pick maybe.

WR Ja'Naylon Dupree is not on any browns roster site, official nor Ourlads.. Not finding a Dupree on spottrac nor over the cap as having a contract..

                                      • CB Malcolm Bell - 5-11, 175 lbs - Michigan State
                                      • CB Joshuah Moten - 5-11, 187 lbs - Southern Mississippi
                                      • LS John Ferimann - 6-2, 245 lbs - Ohio State

It’s not unheard of to see 2 or 3 tryout players be impressive enough during the rookie minicamp that they end up getting signed. However, the majority of players are there to simply fill out the numbers game for a camp. For example, the Browns need someone to handle long snapping duties for the weekend, so they brought John Ferimann from Ohio State in to handle those duties for the weekend.

Throughout the season, the Browns will often bring in players for tryouts. However, this is the first time I can recall seeing a veteran player participate in rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. I am referring to WR Jaelon Reagor, who was formerly a first-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles.

                                      Non-Rookies on Roster (6 players)

                                      • RB Ahmani Marshall
                                      • WR Luke Floriea
                                      • TE Sal Cannella
                                      • TE Caden Prieskorn
                                      • OT Jack Conley
                                      • P Nik Constantinou

Every year, there are some players who aren’t rookies, but are fringe first-year players (typically on reserve/future contracts), who also take part in rookie minicamp. These are the type of players who also need to have a solid rookie minicamp, because if one of those 25 tryout players makes a big impression, these guys could be viewed as yesterday’s news, so-to-speak.
