this makes no sense, if our offense is improved wouldn't that intern let our defense rest a little longer instead of a 3 and out or a turnover ? also we  really did not lose anyone on D and added a couple of guys via the draft, so please tell me how our defense will be worse ?

    1. Our D played lights out last year, just to reach that level again will be a task itself. So we may be worse by default.

    2. The league has ample time to adjust to what they seen last year.

    3. Swartz is gone and we have a new DC.

I think we'll still have a great D and I don't think our offense could do much worse than last year.

Does Watson come back out in good shape, or does he set the team back by getting the nod for start then crash out mid season?

Plus we have a new HC and new bodies on the line. How long will it take for all the new guys and a new system to come together? QB and WRs need time to get reps in on top of that. I didn't hear much about our running backs.

I think this year may be rough, does having a losing season cause Garrett to exit? I hope not. Or do we have enough crappy opponents to pullout some wins?

I think if we play complementary football meaning we aren’t leaving the defense on the field for 35-38 mins a game or with short fields I think they can fare better

  • optimistic enough that i did not renew my season tickets i have had 10 years

So when we have a good year and get in the playoffs, we'll know the past all your fault. Stay way. LOL!?

These are the 3 big reasons why I think our defense will be a little less effective

I gotta say, it was quite a thing to watch our final two opponents last year, Steelers & Bengals, play TOTALLY SCARED of Myles.  So I guess we could say the Myles cost us Fernando Mendoza.  🙂

It will be interesting to see how things go down in next year's draft regarding us getting a QB, because if it doesn't go well and Mendoza ends up being a very good starter, we are going to curse those last two victories.

  • Pretty optimistic.  New coach, new players can lead to a new attitude and focus.  The division seems weaker.

Why not?  LOL...ok, don't list the reasons.

If we can get off to a decent start and not dig a hole right off the bat, again, why not? I think the schedule release will matter.  When and in what order we play teams can make a big difference. The Browns are at a teetering point between being pretty good or pretty bad.  Getting our identity established early will go a long way towards the final outcome.

All we need is good QB play.  Which requires good play from the rest of the offensive units.  The defense is good enough to support a good offense.

  • So How Optimistic Are You About The Browns In '26?

  • I am as optimistic  with Watson as QB as I am in seeing the original big Chuck and Little John show return

Offensive Line.  (and WR's that can't get open)
