Haven't seen this elsewhere (may have missed it) :
Removes US from 66 (?) International Orgs.
Expect withdraw from UN eventually as well . . . possibly (?) even NATO eventually (Greenland may be a role in this).
Trends / info suggests we are going to be more (Monroe Doctrine) concentrated on the Western Hemisphere (Americas N & S), possibly extending to Australia.

I we ever landed on Proxima B, instant communication with Earth would be impossible.

You're right, we have no idea how aliens could handle what we can't.
We also don't know if there's ways to shield from feeling effects from different forms of travel.
Anything is possible.

I know this for a fact because my Second Aunt is Mother Superior at the Vatican in Rome.. I have been to areas in the catacombs unopened to the public..
