Just a little update:
I don't know if any of you guys have relied on Google's AI Overview aka Gemini, only to end up in a "car crash", but here's an experience of mine and a warning to anyone (of any political persuasion!) using this tool :
Search criteria used for both of the following AI Overviews:
“Is more European Union Commission humanitarian aid given each year to the Palestinians compared with total annual E.U. countries contributions to the European Space Agency”
Extract from the AI Overview returned December 12, 2025 [fortunately I did keep a complete copy together with its citation links]:Yes, the European Commission's aid to Palestinians, especially since late 2023, often exceeds annual ESA contributions; the EU's total support for Palestinians (humanitarian + development) is in the billions (€1.6B for 2025-27), while ESA's total budget is comparable but broken down by member contributions, often in the hundreds of millions (e.g., Spain €500M, France/Germany billions over years, not annually), making direct annual EU Commission aid vs. total country ESA contributions an uneven comparison, but overall EU financial flows to Palestine are massive.

I would suggest this would be better placed in Steve's thread on AI in the Barber Shop forum than here.
Of note, I've made several comments on that thread, but my perspective is based more on Coding / Research capabilities than anything else.
Also, I'm looking more into running Local Models vs the online ($) Models that most folk are familiar with.
Bit of difference between to two in speed, capacity, knowledge, and resources, but if you know what you're doing you can juice the Local Models in a few of these areas.
From what I'm seeing to date, there are pluses and minus to AI, mainly depends on what you're trying / wanting to do with it.
Keep in mind, one side wants to make AI a great tool to advance whatever Field folk are working in.
The other side is wanting to make a god of AI to rule over everything.
Just keep your perspective of what you're looking for in this, otherwise it's quite possible you'll end up with "Colossus: The Forbin Project" or "The Terminator".
It's not just me saying this, it's the people running these companies that are actually concerned about this.

I just assumed Robot was part of an information/propaganda campaign. You’ve all probably heard that term. It’s just an overt push to sway hearts and minds towards a particular cause, and it’s pretty evident Robot’s main directive is to stick up for Israel, and this is what it looks like.
I applaud Israel for branching out into the nether regions of social media to promote their cause. That’s forward thinking. Our little sub forum made the cut. We should feel proud.

I've been wondering the same, while woody and vapor just happen to swallow the propaganda against Israel, Robot just may be some type of hired gun to spread propaganda in favor of Israel. I usually check to see if his post will somehow always lead back to something positive for Israel. It's been so long since he posted though I lost track.

My guess would be that it's a human being that puts his prompts into jet or Gemini or Gtok and then copies and paste the results into a post. I don't really read big long posts anyway so..
