The no body cams thing is a little surprising. I thought we learned that lesson, and last l recall most everyone on this sub-forum thought it was a good idea too.
Whether youāre a fan of ICE or not, you want them to be beaming with transparency. It protects both them and the publicās perception of them. If someone fights back or tries to harm an ICE officer, boom, hereās the body cam footage to show the officerās actions were justified. Or if an ICE officer fucks up, then boom, hereās the footage of that too and theyāll deserve the backlash and hopefully adapt to do better going forward.
Otherwise this turns into a he says/she says situation, and itās no good for anyone having ambiguity and a drawn out investigation with a bunch of bullshit to sort through.

Iām just referring to a past convo we had with similar subject matter with ICE in MN. My recollection was we had a general consensus that body cams were a good idea for ICE agents to wear. I didnāt know we had anyone opposed to it. Thatās it man. Iām not giving you a hard time about it, l just didnāt know anyone here thought it was unimportant.
I think it is. Theyāre a law enforcement agency doing unprecedented things. I think itās a good idea that transparency be at the forefront.
