I don't think it will either. I'm sure it will come as no surprise that violence was already illegal pretty much everywhere. The announcement in all reality is unnecessary and purely symbolic, except for the fact we've become accustomed to unenforcement. No law will have to be written, the authority is already there.

I have yet to hear about anyone that has gone to prison for simply hating Trump. Maybe a couple talk show hosts got fired. Just don't join ANTIFA or interfere with law enforcement and you'll probably get through this unscathed.

I would argue there were plenty of real world consequences for those stating pro Palestine and anti Isreal beliefs. No violence. Free speech. But real legal consequences. Fully pushed, supported, and orchestrated by the Trump admin.

We aren't far away from something similar for folks making anti trump statements

If there are plenty of examples, give us a name of an American born citizen that suffered real legal consequences for typical, non-violent anti-Israel dissent. I have serious doubt you will find an actual instance without including naturalized citizens, which in my mind can/should be revoked if warranted. But please give it the old college try, I'm genuinely intrigued.

But let's not lose track of the fact that violent left wing actors were the stated priority and I think it's obvious that political violence is far more ORGANIZED on the left.

This is how fake news reported this and I'm sure in the future our lefties here will have forgotten proof of how fake news spreads misinformation and paints their fake narrative

our lefty friends get duped so bad it's hard to take them serious on any issue

Love the addition of the word "organized" there. Funny way to concede that, for the last decade, there has been more right wing political violence. Based on sources cal himself shared.

I'd also argue Jan 6th was just as organized as anything else you would point to, with a much clearer connection to a current political group/movement, but that might take us down a rabbit hole... Some posters on here think Jan 6th was just a family picnic with a few rowdy guests

It seems like we also agree then noncitizens have faced real, legal consequences just for stating support for Palestine. Not supporting terrorists, nothing like that. Just supporting Palestine.

Not sure why you're saying that doesn't count though. Noncitizens have freedom of speech as well

  • Trump, a decade ago, starting the whole "fake news" thing was genius. Claiming anything he didn't like, even if a legitimate source, was fake news. While platforming any news he did like, even if it was nothing more than right wing slop. Fast forward a decade and facts don't matter. He can lie repeatedly. And his base still eats it up.

He has a golden ticket to discredit any legitimate criticism because he conditioned his moronic base a decade ago. Wild stuff

You got good at copying your fake news gospels.

You refute the fake news in that article?

It's no longer decades ago, and I would argue against that point anyways.

This country took a major turn after Obama and Covid.

The violence you're describing simply does not compare to what is going on today. You're talking about random acts from nutcases.

It's not even just leftist violence, including groups like antifa, but because of Biden and past political mistakes, we've also allowed floods of foreigners in illegally even a large swath legally that abuse our systems but worse these days, are forming to change our systems.

You won't be able to grasp most of what I said and that's ok. I'm not going into any trouble explaining something you won't believe anyways.

Ahhhh, right. Khlil. How did I know? We could go back and forth about whether he supports Hamas, I'm sure you know where I'm at. But I'm full blooded American and I never led a takeover on a college campus to make foreign demands, which oddly isn't one of my rights as a citizen. Over 70 people were arrested by university request, not Trump. He is a non citizen who at bare minimum is a propagadist/zealot and his group (CUAD) was accused of singling out specific CITIZENS to harass, which evidence suggests he was likely one of the leaders. In fact, Columbia still has a "zero tolerance" policy for CUAD. I'm not sure what part of "takeover" sounds like peaceful and productive free speech. And I'm not sure why you think people like this are a net benefit to America, no matter the origin. I really hope he enjoys Algeria...fingers crossed!

How about an actual citizen? I mean, that is what you're worried about. (wink, wink)
