Not a fan of the title. "Not an NFL QB". While this may just be me sort of being an asshole for details, but it's also vaguely insulting. He is an NFL QB; but at the moment, not a good one. And yes, his rookie season was rough for multiple reasons. A couple of those reasons his own making.

Well, let's see, Flacco did just as miserable as Sanders last season. So, I guess he's not an NFL QB either.

As much as I'd like to say that Sanders sucked last year, which he did, our QB position had nothing to work with. No WR's. Injured RB who couldn't get any yards anyway because there were no holes to run through. I don't know how that statistic ended but for the longest time Judkins was the RB that was hit in the backfield more than any other. The QB position got no help from the OL, WR's or running game. All we had was Fannin and Njoku. And that was terrible because we needed to find out if we needed to draft a QB or not. Now we have to do it all over again this year. (although we probably found out that the midget isn't in our future)

  • Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders were recently spotted working out together with several of Clevelandโ€™s pass catchers,

I read this today. Supposedly Concepcion & Judy were among those 'pass catchers'. This is on their summer vacation time they're doing this. Say what you want about Watson, but at this point in time, he's working to be an NFL QB. And as down on Judy as people have been, he's also showing effort. As is Sanders and whoever the other pass catchers are. This is good ! The more those two groups can become familiar with each other, the better it will be.

  • MKC is reporting that Watson has the inside track to be named the starter.

A lot of things can happen from now to early September.ย

Between MKC and Watson? She's in love. Let's hope she didn't see that old episode of the King of Queens when he talked his wife into doing some pole dancing and sliding at home.

  • From what Daryl Ruiter said on The Fan this morning, the QBs in question are wildly inconsistent. One good day followed up with a stinker.

This probably isn't getting settled until sometime in August.

It never was going to be sooner. Until you see some actual plau you just don't know. I wouldn't rule Gabriel out of the picture.

I would. I'm ruling out the midget.

What's the over/under on how many games Watson plays before the nightmare ending injury?

So, here's the thing about that guy with a cell phone and a facebook account. He's not coaching and working with the team.

Todd Monken is coaching the team. And Todd's been saying that Watson has been better than Sanders. He's been making better and quicker decisions with the ball. When and if the two players show Monken that the roles should be reversed, then I'm sure that he'll reverse them.

Monken seems to be a straight shooter. He didn't draft / trade for either of them. He's got no skin in the game of who starts at QB, except for who he thinks is better. And that's who I want to start at QB this season - whomever Monken thinks is better. I want the best player(s) at each position to be the starters.

Podcast bros... they aren't funny or particularly knowledgeable. That's why there's so damn many of them.

I was thinking 4 when he posted that question.

If Watson doesn't look too good in our 1st two games (losses) in Florida, do we think there's a chance that Sanders starts our 1st home game?

Monken is a vet coach who probably prefers vet players.

Unless he plays catastrophically, I think he will stick with the vet for longer than two games.

  • All I've seen are the highlights (lowlights). Sanders & Gabriel seemed to throw identical, horrid INT's.

Especially the after game press conference. It like a clown show when Shedufus start to ramble. Watch his PC after this past game. It pretty funny to look at the guy and when he talks.

AGREED! Although it really feels like it'll be a lesser of 2 evils albeit (& like you mentioned) Monken had nothing to do with either QB he inherited here.
