It's not often, IF EVER, I get my balls busted like that and enjoy it. However, in this particular case there was an irresistible "I'm Irish so I'll swing first and ask questions later" vibe to it. I'm not so heartless that we can't start a Mopar exception to the DON'T SISSY OUT w/ AUTO DRAFT rule here for you or anyone blind sided by an uncontrollable scheduling inconvenience.

Both Browns board leagues are Sept 7th..1 at 730pm the other at 745.... hey commissioner(s) fix this so we dont have to Auto draft!

EXACTLY! I got talked into being in a 2nd league; and I said I could do it if the draft is on any day but Labor Day. The reason is the league I've been in since 2003 always did the draft on Labor Day at 7:30 pm. That was fine until the Commish of the new league I joined didn't realize that all the other league draft slots Yahoo has available before Labor Day fill up quickly. At least the Commish was able to get it set for 4 pm so it won't interfere with the other draft I have.

To all you CITs (Commissioners In Training) out there: Rocky wasn't the brightest apple in the orchard; but the message he delivered below was spot-on. Plan ahead and save yourselves the headaches...

Image of You know that? You should've planned ahead.

  • I’ll be ready on Sept 9 at 7:45 pm

Just 1 that usually plans to have Yahoo auto-draft both of his teams in here. I like to bust his chops a little when I catch him bragging how good his ff are teams once in a while in some of our football topics in here. Having said that, in this thread there's a guy that just learned he has 2 fantasy football drafts on the same evening scheduled 15 minutes apart. In that situation, there's nothing wrong with using auto-draft for 1 of those leagues if the commissioner of the league is unable to get it rescheduled.

Just the ones that sit down to pee

  • Well I didn't pussy out in my own league and went in with a plan different from the usual. Instead of drafting the next available highest, I picked several teams to try and take key players. Of course I ended up 7 out of 8 in the draft order (the reverse it every round so I also had #10) and someone took my favorite Derrick Henry-so that ruled out the Ravens. I took Puka Nacua, McCaffrey and then Barkley and Hurts hoping to team up with the next goround on same team. But someone took the best Philly receiver so I took the best Def in the Rams and then the rook Love for the Cards. Next I took Purdy and Mike Evans from SF and then Kittle and SF rook WR Stribling. Eventually their kicker as well. Of course I can't start the SF team 1st weekend because the play my best Def, the Rams. (LOL). the rest of the season I will try to play all those SF players and just see what happens, If QB Purdy gets hurt I'm screwed for the year. Oh, got Denvers kick and two Brown just for fun, Judkins and K.C. Just in case I also got Sam LaPorta because the new OC for Detroit uses TE a ton.

  • my league was switched over from nfl.com to sleeper. its a nice set up

Thanks Syd! I'm guessing there's still a lot of guys in here that participate in ff leagues; so any and all news about it is welcomed... Giddy up and get after it with those ff drafts folks!

I did last year, only because I kept trying to draft and it would NOT work.

so, I'm going to work on that.

and btw, again, the Phil Dawson league and the Otto Graham league - one drafts at 7:30, the other drafts at 7:45.

Not sure that is going to work.

    Lies.

    All lies.

  • I did not like the auto-draft for the Otto Graham league for my team.

    It was graded a "D+".

I LOVE my draft for the Phil Dawson league !

and it was graded.... an "F".

    LOL.

The grading system is stupid. It said my best pick, was James Cook, rb.

Well, I have Josh Allen as my qb pick, and that is every bit as great a pick.

    and I have Judkins.

We'll see. If I can just not be on the bottom of the the in Otto Graham, it will be a big win. LOL

It would have helped if other guys would stop picking my picks before I have a chance. LOL

    Geppetto, are you reading?

Let him know why they have mock drafts for all participants to get get familiar with the process beforehand. Yahoo equips every one of their leagues with access to mock drafts....

  • LOL I drafted RB Williams from L.A Williams from Dallas and Williams WR from Detroit, which is why i look the picks up and down and not the next best available. Also I had these guys rated higher than others like Achane and Henry who were picked after my first Williams , Ones that were gone you may ask ? Hampton rb Chargers and some fucking fool went way up for Pierce Rb Seattle, I only drafted one rookie this year , infact I didnt even draft him, I got him as a FA after the draft, Lemon wr philly

Nice job with that Syd. People thought I was batshit nuts for not drafting Christian McCaffrey. Both times I drafted him in the past he was injured more than he played; so I took Achane because aside from rushing for 1350 yards and 8 TDs last year - he added 67 receptions for 488 yards and 4 TDs. In a PPR league - this guy steals a lot of points in the passing game. Anyway, they were right about me being batshit nuts - they were just wrong about the reason.

  • Achane

new OC is why i drafted Williams instead

And I took McCaffrey round 2 (Nacua #1) because I wanted two decent RB's after a WR like Nacua (who BTW went through rehab for his domestic problem, so not on the commish shit list). #3 was Barkley. Of course tonight I'm not playing any of my multiple SF weapons against the #1 Def that I also own. Just don't hurt my "purty boy" QB please Aaron and Myles.

Round 2 would have made him more tempting; so that could work out really good for you. Aaron didn't make the trip to Australia. Having said that, I drafted the Rams' D so I'll be rooting for Myles tonight.

hopeing rams D puts the breaks on McCaffery and that Williams has a huge game for L.A, weird thing here , I mentioned that I do FF through sleeper and they only gave Seattle's D 13 points last night, I started the chargers D instead on Seattle"s
