A bribe

Acknowledging the things Trump says is now "TDS"? God you're getting desperate
Stay with us, the fact you never criticized anyone else before but now that it's Trump makes it TDS.

I've made plenty of criticism before. You take any criticism of Trump and call it TDS. It's your safe space. Your reaction as a snowflake. A trigger that allows you to not confront reality.
You still haven't commented on his offered bribe at all. But I'm not surprised. Reps are doing the same thing. Talking about what the admin has accomplished, or, more accurately, hasn't accomplished, is a losing strategy. So they're just yelling about everything else; TDS, liberals, trans, DSA, etc.
You do the same.
But hey, maybe you'll get your bribe. And your DOGE check. And you tariff check. And...
-
Fiscal conservatives must be virtually nonexistent these days. There was a time not so long ago that Trump would have been ridiculed by his own party for proposing such a thing.
There are actually republicans who support this, and that’s wild to me. Thankfully some who don’t.

Maybe you could link back to you criticizing Bidens college refund? Or anything...

I didn't criticize that, because it was a good idea. It was a policy. You know, those things conservatives used to have.
This is a bribe. "I'll give you money if we win". They are not the same.
The desperate attempts at false equivalency here are as hilarious as they are sad.
Are you going to comment on Trump's proposal at all? Do you have anything at all to say? Or are you fully engrained in the Republican tactics of deflection, attacks on opponents, and actually discussing any real issues?

It's a terrible idea. It would add over $1 trillion to the debt and it's only purpose is as a bribe.
Pathetic that most of the only Reps speaking out on it are those leaving Congress. The party is a broken dog doing whatever Trump says. No spine. And given Trump's historically terrible approval rating let's hope it costs them in the midterms.

Again, cal, what Trump proposed a few days ago, the subject of this thread, is it vote-buying?

"The $5,000 Trump Dividend, given to all Adults in the United States due to the fact that our Country is taking in Trillions of Dollars of Economic Development, Investment, and Pure SUCCESS, is being criticized by “Dumocrats” who are hoping that it never happens — But it will! As an example, the Dumocrats said THE GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL, one of the largest ever approved by Congress, or signed into Law by a President happened, despite the Dumocrats saying it would be impossible to get approved — Or the Gift of $1776 that I gave last year to our Military, was an almost guaranteed Non Starter, everyone said it could not be done, but it was, our Military Patriots got the money, and loved it. When I say something, I mean it! The $5,000 Dividend will happen because the People of our Country deserve it. VOTE REPUBLICAN — MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP"
“The Democrats can’t do it because with them it’s negative growth. With us, it’s so positive.”
“We’re taking in 21 trillion dollars. No country’s ever taken in anywhere near that. It’s four or five times higher than the next, all because of that beautiful word that you and I love more than most others: tariffs,”
I guess we'll find out if it's a bribe, even though he's not running for anything, or merely Trump keeping his word.
I didn't criticize that, because it was a good idea.
The college debt forgiveness was a terrible idea and a kick in the ass to all the hard working taxpayers that never went to college and didn't create their own debt by failing or not landing a job after or the ones that did and paid off their own debt. No one was forced to take on this debt and no one should have been relieved of it.
As we talked about before, all generations yours especially, need to learn to take accountability and stop relying on gov't to fix or do anything. Of course there are instances gov't should step in, such as predatory loans, but that's another story.
