Weather is terrible right now in Tampa, and the forecast shows it as being terrible until 8pm or something crazy. But it's Florida so it can change quickly

He looks minimally competent like you would expect from an average quarterback in the league.

Id say above average, especially in the second half so far.

Yes he is, that TD drive was quality play most notably he's not panicking under pressure like last week.

He had played well...and it huts to say that..but props to a stable game and putting us in a position to win.

  • I don't like that we went for it on 4th down deep in our own territory and basically gave Tampa points. And it's those points that can be the difference if they can ever get this game going again. And I didn't like us taking a delay of game on a 3rd & 2 on the Jaguar 3 last week. Monken should've called TO there, and he shouldn't have gone for it on our 34 today. Especially knowing that our OL has NOT been able to get ANY push in short yardage. - I don't like those 2 in-game coaching decisions.

  • Man I was fully expecting to give up the game winning td after the long rain delay. Credit to the defense today for bouncing back after that atrocious showing last week. Also credit to watson for playing probably his best game as a brown (not that it is hard to surpass) in the face of all the discussion about him being benched. He really only threw short passes and used his legs really well. I would like to see more stretching the field but as long as the chains keep moving I'm happy. Lastly denzel Boston is a stud.

  • Has the game ended?....in uk, can't get any pictures

  • How โ€˜bout them Brownies?

I spent the bulk of the game cleaning out the garage and took a monster nap during the 4th quarter thanks to the delay. Woke up just in time to hear the last defensive stop. Hats off fellas.

The new Browns radio crew sound better than last year, theyโ€™re really improving, but l still miss Jim Donovan.

    This oneโ€™s for you Jim.

    Yessir. Winner winner chicken dinner.

  • Browns Win!!!

  • Celebrate the W today - get back to work tomorrow.

Always nice to start out the week in the win column!

  • Hickman & Delpit each had a sack. There's no Myles Garrett, so you've got to try and create sacks. Graham had a crap luck sack. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here he is, going in the wrong direction....but he gets the sack ๐Ÿ™‚

    This was a delightful win.

We can't run. There's no holes. But the D played better. Which kept us in the game. And our QB position played better...actually bringing the offense down the field for the go ahead TD late in the 4th quarter. Go figure.

It was good to see improvement over last week. Some will say, Well THAT was a low bar! Which it was, but we had absolutely NO reason to think we'd do any better. So, it really is quite a nice step forward. Now, we need the OL to play better. Perhaps DeWand Jones at RT might help??

On defense, I expect more man coverage with some zone sprinkled in. Got to mix in some well timed blitzes to throw Baker off his game. It would be great to get in Mayfieldโ€™s head.

they just have to be far more aggressive - or it may be a longer day than vs the Jags. The offense wasn't watchable, they need to go ahead and put Sanders in.

"No. 32: Deshaun Watson - Cleveland Browns

As long as Watson is starting for the Browns, Cleveland will struggle. Watson delivered yet another poor performance that resulted in the Browns being completely blown out in Week 1. We will see how long he has the privilege of starting."

Honestly. I can not blame any fans for losing faith. Iโ€™m not sure why or how I have so much. Enjoy this glorious W.

    I know I am.

  • This buys Watson another start for sure. He played well enough today and the D helped him more than the 1st game.

  • I ripped this team up and down this week leading up to this game, hoping against hope that I would look like an idiot and they would pull out an improbable win. I didn't really think it was a possibility.

Hats off to the entire team. I can't believe I'm fucking writing this, but hats off to Watson for actually looking like a competent starting QB, even if for just a day.

Hats off to the defense for playing well after a horrible opener. Hats off to Monken for getting his first win.

And condolences to the people on here who so desperately were hoping for Baker and the Bucs to annihilate the Browns today and who were not able to come on here and be insufferable twats. Maybe he'll actually pull off beating the Browns four years from now when he plays them again. A third time's a charm, right?

He actually deserves to start next week. Nothing I think about him personally or long-term has changed, but on the field, he played well.

  • Wow, so I was in a bowling tournament in Cincinnati, so I didn't see the game ( recorded it as usual). Listened on the radio driving home, I was worried about the weather delay ( remember the 2016 World Series?).

Sounds like a good team win to me.

I had predicted a Browns win here before the season, but after last week, I didn't think it would happen. GLAD they won.

    Go Browns!!!

Well, I'm shocked, I say. Watson looked like a semi competent starting NFL QB. And the defense played very well. Watson bought himself another start, but he will never be loved in Browns fandom. Play like crap this coming Sunday expect a chorus of boos.

  • Damned Watson... can't even get tanking right! ??

If the O-line had given him decent protection, especially in the first half, this may even have been a comfortable win.

He also threw an absolute dime to Boston in the endzone in the third quarter that the defender made a great play to knock the ball out on a fade pass
