I believe we have at least 2 5th maybe 3 , I would send one to the cards for him@syd said:

I would be all for giving a later round pick to bring him here and see if a change of scenery would do him good.
Unfortunately, I think the Cardinals were looking at a 2nd round pick to start for him. It seems they have found a trade partner in the Houston Texans and they are waiting till after this weeks slate of games to make it official.
But I did see that there are other teams potentially in the mix still so who knows. -

Until Jeremiah Smith came on the scene, Harrison was the most dynamic Ohio State WR I ever saw - and that is saying A LOT considering the WRs we've seen play in the scarlet and gray the last generation or so, from Cris Carter on.
It will be interesting to see what the Cardinals got for him, because IMO this was the definition of "selling low" in regards to Harrison and where he is now as a professional. -

Agreed, he was a monster at tOSU.
He showed a lot of promise year one. Didn't go over 1k receiving yards (I would blame that on the QB production more than Harrison but I also haven't done a deep dive or anything on it) but did have 8 TDs. Then it looks like he battled injuries, including having an appendectomy during the season, for year two. Now, they are giving up on him by early October in year three.
Have to wonder what may be going on behind the scenes, not saying anything bad has happened, but it is a little strange that they are looking to offload him. -

The year before Harrison came to OSU, the room was Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Emeka Egbuka, and JSN. The guy who recruited that room is now a podcaster.. interesting because he's not parroting a company line like "the beat" but knows more than all of them combined. And the following is his take on Harrison.
Harrison made his living at OSU with his catch radius -- being able to stack DB's on any route and beat them to the catch point. He wasn't separating at the college level -- and in a shocking twist, in the NFL because catch radius isn't a marketable skill due to the higher athleticism of the DB's, he's barely usable because he's shut down by street UDFA's. I wouldn't offer more than a 6th.. -
Maybe reuniting with Stroud will help both of them.

@syd That’s pretty wild the Cardinals were able to get a 2nd and 6th for him. I’d be pretty upset if the Browns had paid that for him.

Brian Hartline killed it as a college position coach. Sure, he just brought in guys that were already studs and they stayed studs, but recruiting, especially pre-NIL, was arguably the most critical part of the job. And it's not like he made them worse while at OSU.
Might be OSUs HC down the road

Someone who loses playing time to the 5th round talents of Simi Fehoko and Reggie Virgil... will not be an all-pro anywhere@MLD-Woody said:

Not with the demonstration of slow 13 playcalling he put on last year.. and unsurprisingly the offense of the team he is a HC for right now is very bad.
Pretty sure the story of Hartline is amazing recruiter, amazing position coach... everything else, not so much. Because he wouldn't accept a demotion, IMHO he's fated to be a mid-tier average-at-best HC. And that's fine for him - but it's nowhere near the level of OSU. -

Brian Hartline is the head coach at University of South Florida. He was the WR coach / OC last season for OSU.. and did neither job very well for OSU. This has continued as USF's offense is dogwater.
Current WR coach at OSU, Hankton from LSU, is working out much better than I thought he would -- he is still doing great recruiting [Harrison youngest brother Jett is committed as the next OSU #1 national WR recruit], has the WR room crackback blocking like a Mack truck, and next season the WR room will be just fine because the 2 true freshmen Brock Boyd [I'm trying to start "Wiggatron" as his nickname but that's seeing limited acceptance] and Chris Henry Jr are cooking every DB they face. This season is a big anomaly because OSU has the best WR prospect since the sport was created.
Arthur Smith [previous OC of titans and HC of falcons] is a really good OC at OSU this year.
Only way Hartline comes back to OSU is as WR coach -- he is just not good enough as a coach in a power5 team to be any higher than position coach, let alone coordinator or head coach. -

when day took over play calling duties from Hartline , we lost the next 2 games which ended the season -
