Tale of the Tape - Browns @ Titans

So we now head into a stretch of 3 road games. The Titans have just picked up their 1st win. We cannot lose this game. You've got to beat who you're supposed to beat. Now one could say, based on our stats (and if you've watched our games), that we've got no business thinking that we're better than anyone. But when you're in 1st place heading into week 7, well, you're supposed to beat a one win team.
The Titans are near the bottom of the league in Offense. We're mid-pack with our Defense, but we've been good at not letting opponents score points. The Bend But Don't Break Defense. Aiding the D has been the Special Teams. Our punter has been launching punts, and punt coverage has been pretty good so we're giving teams long fields a lot of times.
Our Offense is not much better at all than the Titans'. But the Titans don't have anything close to a dominant Defense. They're not bad at sacking opposing QB's though...and our Offensive line has not been very good at protection. Although some of that is from our QB who has no trust in his pass protection and panics, causing more sacks. But honestly, you can't blame him. Most times opponents send a big blitz, one or two guys get through totally unblocked. The QB panicking becomes a conditioned response. If we can get the run game going this week, against the 24th ranked run D, that would be very helpful.
We're in 1st place again. Let's not let a bottom feeder team knock us out again. This is a Must Win game if your goal is to make the playoffs. Go Browns! -

I lurked a long time here and registered as "Gator" recently.
I got the name from the movie the Other Guys but I changed it once the forum switched hands."See the turtle, ain't he keen? All things serve the f*cking beam!" -

If I'm not mistaken, I think Jordan Elliot was a former 3rd round pick of the Browns from like '20 or '21.
I mean, the Browns could take a look at bringing him back but who knows if this "incident" at the Titans facility is going to come into play outside of the football world. If he was involved in a physical altercation with a teammate or a coach, then that might explain why the Titans kept the statement short and brief due to possible legal stuff.
It's just one metric but PFF has him currently ranked as 99th out of 129 IDL so it seems like he is below average."See the turtle, ain't he keen? All things serve the f*cking beam!" -
Not trying to derail the tread further but Elliott got into a fight with a teammate during practice, then attempted to go get his gun from his car.

No, you're not mistaken. He and another guy (forget his name) they were to replace the DLinemen that we had. I think it was their 3rd year that the IDL got turned over to them (we didn't draft any IDL that year), and they flat out stunk. The worst running teams in the league piled up numbers on us. It was among Berry's failures, then and now. I thought there was an outside chance we might bring him in to get the scoop on the Titans. We didn't. And now we know why nobody's bringing him in.... -
