  • Do you think that cribbs will start playing WR again?

Well there goes another jersey down the tubes.

    Metcalf

    Turner

    Johnson

    Winslow

    Edwards

    Quinn 🙁

Back on topic, I love the trade. His antics have grown super old, and thats just the crap we see. Sounds like this guy was a megadouche behind the scenes as well.

Just get a Tom Cousineau custom jersey and be done with it.

    I'm looking for my #34 tear-away myself 🙄

  • One espn article said it was a third and fifth. The third round can become a second rounder if braylon catcds a certain number of passes

    - The Browns need a banner draft in 2010. We're likely to pick near the top and either take a QB or trade down a little. Now we also have some extra picks, so there's room to maneuver. I'm sure they'd like to end up with at least 4 first day picks including one in the top 12.

Please draft defense first, someone who will knock you on your can.

Would love to see what Ryan would do with a little more talent to work with. How about a Reed/Palamalu kick ass safety and a ILB with speed and a real mean disposition. Could also throw in a shutdown corner as well. Hell, might as well ask for a pass rusher as well.

  • As a jet fan who felt Mangini got kind of shafted in NY after building what is a pretty good team, I thought I'd pitch in a few points:

    1. Stuckey is a good to above average slot receiver with very above average hands. Yes, he's a 7th round pick, but he fell in the draft because of a broken foot. Might have gone 3rd or 4th otherwise. He did fantastic in preseason and has been clutch in games.

    2. Trusnik was a fan favorite who performed great when he was on the field. Quick. Good value.

    3. As many have pointed out, you're also getting a 3rd and 5th for what would otherwise have been nothing. Besides BE is killing your team. Established veterans in NY may be able to control him and maybe they have special stickum he can put on his hands.

    4. Mangini is doing here some of the same things he did with the Jets when he first arrived... getting rid of some potentially problematic veterans, getting some solid role players, acquiring draft picks, and building from the inside out.

You may not want him as a coach in 3 years, but you'll be happy you had him for 3. And he has looked different on the sideline in Cleveland than in NY.

Here's my advantage in having the surname 'Edwards'. Jersey isn't completely useless.

  • I can't fooking wait to watch ESPN sportscenter in the coming weeks to see Braylon streaking wide open with the game tied at 17-all, and have a perfectly thrown Sanchez bomb clank right off his palms ... I will pee myself.

If you get tired of the dull press conferences.

Besides that, I did say I thought he kind of got shafted in NY. Still, it's a media whoring position.

  • Feet -- that is the nickname I always gave Braylon since his hands couldn't be worse than his feet. Good riddance.

  • @jadbf said:

No I think the question was, how do you think he has looked different on the sideline here?

Believe it or not lol he's showing more emotion. Also, he actually coached Edwards up after the roughing the passer penalty. He simply benched Elam for that crap in a game against Cinci last year. Looked like Elam was punching the dude but he was just trying to strip the ball after the guy was down.

  • Let's give the Moderators here a round of applause for merging the 15 or so Braylon Edwards Trade threads into one neat and clean folder ... not to mention the multiple Stuckey threads and other related matter today thats needed cleaned up.

Perhaps you haven't noticed ... which is a excellent trait for the Mods.

    Nice work fella's

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Also, this is a very favorable move for the browns: get something for nothing; addition by subtraction; get young, solid role players; new picks

    edited: wasn't thinking.

  • Good news! Trusnick has made a tackle. I say he starts this week.

Not only that, he's a Cleveland guy. 🙂

This is all a precursor to LeBron announcing his signing with the Browns to play WR.... CALM DOWN PEOPLE.

A dream come true for me.... give him 500k per TD, commision only!

  • How about a round of applause for the man that made this all possible....

    Mr. Lebron James

  • Hope sanchez is ready for an alltime low rating and DAs rating will be decent now...i put a zombo gaurantee on it!

Just got on here and heard the news... does anyone know all the exact players we got and picks?

Cleveland will receive WR Chansi Stuckey, LB Jason Trusnik and undisclosed draft picks from New York Jets. The draft picks are believe to be a 3rd & 5th (year unknown), and it is now rumored that the 3rd could be a 2nd if Braylon hauls-in a certain amount receptions.

Trusnik is a Northern Ohio boy, grew up in Macedonia (Southeast Cleveland suburb) and played for Nordonia High School. I believe he was Special Teams player of the year last year.

    Stuckey is a 3rd year WR, who's probably a #3 slot receiver.

According to an NFL source, the Jets gave up draft picks in the third and fifth rounds in the deal, Schefter reported. The third-round pick is a conditional pick and could turn into second-round pick if Edwards catches a certain number of passes this season. That is said to be a high number, but if Edwards lights it up in New York the way the Jets are hoping, the Browns then would get a second-round pick in return.
