Hey gang,
HagII and I arrived into Vegas last night about 1am EST. We are staying downtown this time around, which is a first for us, we usually stay on the strip.
It's old down here, a bit different, more like New Orleans.
We gambled through the night, finally crashing about 8am EST. Should have gone to be at 7am, as I lost $250 in that final drunken hour.
One thing about downtown, is each time I ordered a Grey Goose & Ginger, it tasted different. Some waitresses telling me that they don't have Grey Goose, after I been having them served to me for about four hours ... so I am assuming I drank well Vodka all night, although don't feel to bad today, and ready to go back at it.
Learned to play Craps last night, always wanted to play. We play Roulette mostly ... actually always.
Our room here at the Vegas Club ain't like any room we ever stayed in on the strip, it is old, dungy, kind of creepy actually.
We have about 20 friends joining us out here today. In fact, I'm sitting here wasting time on my favorite Browns forum awaiting their drop off from the airport.
We get back into Cleveland (at 6:10am) just prior to the tailgate party on Sunday. we will drop our bags at home, stretcg on some plastic diaper pants and head downtown to see the gang. Big Tailgate Party planned Sunday with about 60 guests coming in.
Just reporting that we made it safely, got to watch college football all the way out on the plane (Direct TV), and didn't get arrested or fall down drunk at all last night, so we are doing great!

Roulette offers some of the worst odds in the house...fun and sexy to play, but not a good place to have favorable odds.
Craps is pretty good odds as long as you don't start going nuts on the side bets.
But...downtown as a rule offers better odds than does the strip, and you can find cheaper games (lower minimums)....hadn't stayed out there in maybe 30 years....it was old and dingy then

If you are in Binion's and see pit boss Vince, he is over 5 craps tables...a 50 something guy with slicked hair and pretty burly, give him a slap in the back of the head and say Ballpeen says hi....we go way back.....he will get a kick out of it.

One of the times we were in Cleveland, Stan and Hag2 were comparing how much better she was doing with all those parley sheets they had cake on. She was giving him an earful that it's a good thing one of them had a Vegas sense because we were told Stan just loses money every week. The message was loud and clear: "you better not be making any more bets" which meant? Skippy needs to use the restroom with a cellphone burning a hole in his pocket. "Jimmy, you got any hot plus 3's I can get in on? Yaaa, Hawaii is hot. Run it!" If Hag2 only knew about all that recovery cake Skippy wins on the side. The trouble is - she would have to know what he does with it. He ain't right, which means he's JUST right! God bless ya!

Love gambling and casino atmosphere....been to vagas 3 times... never downtown.
The best local property (in this area) is Bellterra...by a mile. Why Ohio and kentucky dont have places like this is baffling. The Ky horse money is getting real--real old down here...but atleast they have some sort of argument. Ohio, on the other hand....wow... there's your opportunity. That Airporn Express existus in Wilmington,OH would be a perfect spot for a property like Bellterra (casino/golf/resort). 3-5K jobs in a snap. Put one in that area and one in NE Ohio (talk about your economic depression).
Ohio needs to get its head out it's arse...do it before we sober up in Ky.

Good News from Vegas!
HagII and I are out here with a bunch of friends. Two of them received Penthouse suites from previous stays. One of the suites has jacuzzi, out door patio on the 25th floor, etc ... the other has a door you open at the end of the hall called the 'Kentucky Derby Suite'. Once opened, inside there are three more hotel doors. His (firebiker, who is a member of this site), key fits all three rooms. The room on the left is a Huge living quarters that opens up via double-doors, and includes a bar/fridge, bath room, etc... the room on the right has a grand King bed, bar/fridge, bath room, etc .. the room straight ahead has two grand double-beds, bath room, etc ...
Needless to say HagII & I gave up our room to a single guy in our group and moved into the Kentucky Derby Suite with Firebiker and his wife. Thanks Jeff ... freaking awesome suite! ... Sweeeeet!
Things are looking up! HagII even managed to stagger back to the 'suite' with hundreds falling out of her pockets, as I've maintained.
We played a lot of Roulette, tried our hand at Craps until it just got out of hand, and of course blackjack. We aren't much into slots.
You guys should see the hotties dancing all over the place out here (downtown). Most casino's have barely clad young ladies dancing on poles between the table games, and many have these girls also rotating in as dealers ... I was very distracted all night.
Today we head for the strip. I'm assuming today is Friday, but have no clue ... just sprang to me feet remembering that I hadn't made my college football & NFL picks, then realized I have all day to get them in.
It's pretty hard keeping a large group together out here. Downtown is a lot more loose than the strip, it's more like a drunken stupor.
Oh well ... back to the table games and free drinks ....

Asshole, I told you not to throw out any numbers to me this trip. You always cost me about a grand. I plunked down about (50) $5 bets last night on your stupid #34, not hitting once on it.
I played it every time it ws in the hunt, but no more .... geesh

Dragging ass today.
We strolled into a sick bar yesterday. The place was called Hongs & Heifers Saloon. It's a biker bar, and as we walk in there's this biker chick tending bar with a megaphone in one hand with her other hand on the volume control for the county music juke box that was blaring.
I was with a group of pretty crazy friends, but up until this point we were dragging ass a bit and this chick probably had no clue what she was in for.
She immediatey starts screaming through the megaphone at us, taunting us to line up at the bar for shots and pretty much calling us a bunch of pussies. This chick was the bar tender and the entertainment all in one. It was like a coyote-ugly type place. She immediately start messing with one of the single guys in our group, challenging him on his age and eventually loses a bet with him and pours him a shot. She then lines about 18 shot glasses up and starts pouring and flowing. We slam down a few, all get our drinks, as she is still turning the volume up and down, screeching out lyrics and inserting her own.
This chick was freaking nuts. Flipping us off, taunting us to buy more rounds, giving away as many shots as we bought. Next thing you know she screams, get your shit off the bar cause here I come. With that, she leaps up onto the bar with megaphone still in her hand and starts slamming her black cowboy boots across the top of the bar. Anything in her way, she kicks across the room. The chick was wearing a black leather bikini top, jeans and boots.
This chick had even the rowdiest in our group at-bay, she was there to draw every ounce of party out of us and it didn't take long. Before long, we threw back a half dozen shots, were drinking full glasses of vodka and the guys were lined up with the bikers seeing who could punch the speed bag the hardest (video type game that records your punch).
Needless to say, about hours later there wasn't a sober person in the bar ... I take that back, there wasn't a person in the bar who wasn't shit-faced. HagII, Firebikers wife, and another girl in our group hopped onto the bar, of course, and did their own stomping. The chick couldn't believe what she had stired up. I think she thought we were a bunch of boring tourist when we walked in, by time we left she had enough of us, and found out that we were just as crazy as her and she blended into the mix.
We left, but not before I protested to her that I Loved her numerous times. She called me 'Big daddy'.
Tthe rest of the night was pretty much a blur, it was only about 6pm when we staggered out of that bar.
Needless to say, I didn't get out of bed until after the Ohio State game today.
Gotta catch the redeye tonight and get in just in time for the tailgate party tomorrow.
Looking forward to bringing my broke-ass home. HagII did alright, I'm down $1200 (Thanks to Zippy and that stupid freaking Red-34).

Hey Stan, Thanks for filling in all the blanks from our long weekend in Vegas, I don't remeber alot except we rocked Vegas, I even have a couple bucks left in my wallet. Can't wait until next year. Maybe we'll get the Preakness Suite?
