BTW, Joe Montana's answer to how to stop teams from blitzing: "Beat it. Then they'll stop."

    Ya don't say?......

Yes, that would explain all the blitzing.

You ought to get that message to Quinn.

Is Buffalo that good? what the freakin happened to the pass protection?

A QB who can't throw the deep ball happened.

A Qb who can't throw the short ball happened too!

  • Oh, don't tell me we are going to have to hear about these wussy injuries after every start ... injuries are for preseason.

I truly believe the only reason ATE has such a hard on for Anderception is to keep conversation going in these forums. Because I KNOW he is more intelligent than he is making himself sound. A broken finger on your throwing hand is not insignificant for a QB. Quinn played through it and helped bring us a victory. He didn't even want to talk about it, and tried to skirt over it when approached by reporters. Kosar was on WKNR earlier and said it most definitely effects your throw. He injured the finger early on in the game.

  • Can you imagine what would have happened in that game if the very immobile Anderson had to stand in there and face that blitz. I'd say 4 INTs and about 4 sacks.

I know have a much greater appreciation for how good Ryan Tucker really is. He supported Shafer and let Fraley handle his position. Hadnot may be able to handle his position but he can't help Fraley or Shafer. Shafer may tie Wimbley for the biggest underachiever on this team...................ops, I forgot Edwards

Excuses about preseason are for preseason, yet we were still hearing excuses about preseason clear up through game 7...

  • I'm hearing rumors that somehow Quinn broke a finger? Anyone hear about this or have more details?

It was reported on the radio, possibly on Fox8 News. . . maybe Crennel mentioned something in a press conference?

I'm getting word of mouth updates from my coworker. . . we'll call him John Williams to protect his identity. . . apparently he practiced yesterday and had some soreness, though it was a bruise. Saw a hand specialist, and apparently it's a hairline fracture. He'll continue to practice and play through it.

    Foolz,

Are we freakin cursed or what? The GOOD thing is BQ is alot tougher than Tony Romance so he didn't need to come out of the game for a broken finger. Allegedly it happened in the first quarter and he played really good IMO. It sounds like he thinks he'll be fine to play.

  • Isn't it great that we have a Man out there at QB instead of sniveling puss who would be blaming the injury on so many others.

Can you remember when Kosar played with a broken finger against Denver? He did pretty damn good!

    its old school!

Look at how banged up Rottenshitburger is and he keeps on playing and keeps on winning (sucks) Maybe Stallworth should take some notes!

Eggs-actly T! Kosar played with a broken leg vrs Miami and it really looked like the first game he only had 1 broken leg. LOVED that guy's intelligence and refrain from the INT. Unless you're Brett Favre - you're not gonna win ALOT of close games throwing INTs.

It's refreshing to see an intelligent QB with big pipes. ESPN radio said the injury occured in the first quarter so i think we're okay.

Before I got in Da Biz, I was in video and film in Kansas City. I did a video about Otis Taylor for Blue Cross / Blue Shield when he became a spokesperson and interviewed current Chiefs including Montana. Then I did a national cancer survivor special (five times) and featured Len Dawson, and interviewed Montana then, too.

Let's just say Marcus Allen is WAY more ebullient, but Montana is a nice guy, too. I interviewed Dawson three times for various things and really like that guy. We ended up living around the corner from each other.

    That's pretty cool... lucky you!

Is it just me or is ESPN.com and NFL.com making this into a much bigger issue than it really is?

They are trying to make it sound like he cut the damn thing off in shop class!

He hurt it in the first quarter of the game, finished and won, its not a frickin femur!

    Its a damn felangie(sp)!
