Opinions On Quinn Now?

  • Quinn looked terrible today. He looked like the pre-lion Quinn. It was the Lion's Defense that made Quinn look half way decent, nothing more. Our Defense looked terrible. Our tackling is a laughing stock. We look like a bunch of girls out there trying to tackle. It is embarrassing.

  • Yeah, he just didn't look confident/relaxed the way he did last week. His accuracy was definitely a problem, and he just didn't seem to be in synch with MoMass at all. The line wasn't great, but they gave him some time and created some holes for the running game.

I have a team of 13 girls that play harder then any guys that I have ever played with, or coached. The Browns would KILL to play with the effort that my 13 girls do........That I promise you.

As a girl, I appreciate when men are respectful enough to refrain from using "he played like a girl" or similar phrases in a way that suggest that girls are somehow inferior creatures. I realize it's intended as a criticism that suggests weakness or lack of skill but with a little imagination I'm sure you could come up with a statement that does not insult females. I realize that because of size and strength requirements there's virtually no chance a female will ever play professional football but that doesn't mean it is valid to use "he played like a girl" as an insult.

  • Ok......what's your opinion of Quinn now?

He looked like a guy playing on a bad team, playing bad against a good team.

    That's it. Period.

  • Sorry, no insult to you, or girls, but that is the phrase I would still use to portray our tackling. If girls were out there tackling, that is what it would look like. I have a daughter, and she agrees.

No, Quinn is that bad. He sucks. He xxxxing sucks. No if and no buts. He just flat out sucks. And alas there is no QB controversy, because they both suck dick.

I know the announcers said that but I'm not sure I totally agree. He was up against a better defense today than last week so I'm sure that was a factor.

There were some accurate throws that were just dropped. Though I didn't keep count, it seemed like most of them were to the TE. BQ and his receivers were definitely not on the same page at times but I don't think that necessarily can be blamed on Quinn. (I'd love to have heard Kosar comment on the various plays.)

I guess yours and mine were two different ways to say the same thing. Quinn is bad.

  • Quinn was not accurate enough today which needs to improve before this season ends. The browns will not count on quinn as the starter unless he improves his accuracy. Receivers will not always be open by five yards

  • Besides, I'd like to see plays that are designed to take more than 4/5 yards. Just to see if the kid can throw the ball that long...

were you not watching last week?

but ya, accuracy wasn't too good, however he was accurate last week. i think he needs to get more comfortable playing the game, he hasn't really played football since college. needs some time to get back into the game.

you are reaching alendor...... quinn has had 3 years to get used to NFL level speed and coverage. Quinn was media hyped by I am getting fired Charlie Weis as being NFL READY......

long distance bombs and 15-30 yard accurate tight passing are two different things. His "bombing" distance has never been in question its his tight 15+ yard accurate passing with the strength it takes to beat NFL level coverage. Lets not confuse the two different arm strength qualities.

look at his comparison to Anderson against the same Bengals team this year..... we all know Anderson does have NFL level arm strength and accuracy(at times), however his touch SUCKS and his mental decisions are poor..... IF we could morph these two we would have a awesome qb...... its terrible seeing half the qualities needed split between these two.

  • I posted elsewhere that the KLions give up more yards and points than any other NFL team. Quinn should have been able to put up 6 TDs if he was any kind of QB. I predicted he would go back to his horseshit self this week, and he did.

  • It was the lions ...

3 years huh??? im pretty sure if you listen to any expert it takes more than just sitting on the sidelines to get used to game speed so we will go off playing time. What has quinn started now 9 games, so a little over a half a season. So we still have a lot to learn about quinn as he has a lot of development left to go thru.

Sorry man. I can't speak for everybody on here but I have just about had it with Quinn, Anderson and just about everybody else. The only time Quinn looked like a qb was against Detroit. He looked awful in every other game he played in. I just want wins and I don't want to here that he needs more time. I have seen other qbs in the nfl that looked a lot better in there rookie year. How many times are you going to allow him to chuck the ball 20 yards out of bounds?

  • I think he looked way different against the Bengals- and I don't just mean the points scored which obviously sucked...

He often didn't get his feet set, and the arm was going forward before feet were ready. We've seen enough of these jump passes too. Overall looked like he was hurrying everything. He needs to relax in the pocket and just make the throws, if he does that I think a lot of the accuracy problems will improve. Others on here have described him as uncomfortable, which is right on.

Would love to know who is primarily is responsible for all of these route miscommunications between QB and WR.

You often hear young quarterbacks talk about becoming more successful once the game starts to "slow down" for them. Will the game start to slow down for Quinn? Five more games to find out.
