  • I want to make an important observation. We are all far more excited about this than we were with the Holmgren hiring. When was the last time we were happy with our coach? Browns Board proving again that it has the highest concentration of intelligent Browns fans.

    Thanks Eric!

When Holgrem was hired I was worried. These past few days have been strange. Everybody in the media wanted Mangini out of here. I really didn't have much hope in him staying. Well....screw the Cleveland media!....screw the national media I feel much better about Holgrem now. He knew there was no one out there that he could hire immediately that would be better than Mangini. Who knows......next season after 6 games we may be sorry about this decision, but for now, I'm glad Mangini is coming back. There is finally going to be something to get excited about with the Browns.

  • Does this mean Daboll is staying too? Yes!!!!!!!

  • Well, this one is behind us ... let's keep working in-deed.

    Focus on the draft fella's.

  • Hell yeah....f**k John Clayton Adam S**thead..all of them..We have our coach in place along with the kind of players that are Cleveland Browns...Now a few FA studs, some draft picks and we are rolling..This is a great day for the Cleveland Browns and their fans..Sorry Joe Sixpat..now just go away....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Thank you Mopaji you were on this all along, I did not think The Big Show was buying in but you were confident all along. Also, THANK YOU RANDY LERNER. I am all in and have to give cred to Randy, this is an awesome FO/Coaching Staff he has put together. GO BROWNS!!

  • The Big Show is indeed a big man. Now let's beef up on the personnel side.

  • ya but now we have to be able to keep the MVP of the team for the next 6 years give him the money i know hes just a st player but how many games would we win with out the field postion and the st tds and stops he has given us

  • I absolutely love it....I love when all the talking heads are proven incredibly wrong....love love love it! HEY all you on the NFL network, espn, all the other agencies.....here is my middle finger in salute!!!!!!

  • I can say now....I like MIKE! 😆

  • Let's get down to business!

    Go Mangini! Go Browns!

  • Good news. A little surprised about keeping the entire coaching staff though. I suspect that there might be a few changes not to far down the road. We'll see.

  • Well...Holmgren got ONE thing right! Now he needs to get his head out of his ass and give Cribbs a legitimate offer! Pay him like he's the best returner in the game and like he's the most exciting and valuable player on the team!

  • Meh, I was 50/50 on this.

Makes sense to keep him, 5-11 was about as good as you could get with this terrible roster. It's shows a little stability rather than being in a perpetual state of rebuilding. I still wish Mangini was never hired in the first place, but I'm not tore up to see him staying, especially Shanhan is probably the only big name coming back this season.

  • "Over the past few weeks Eric and I have had a chance to talk on a number of occasions including our meetings over the last two days. I was able to gain some tremendous insight into his thought process and philosophies, and came away from our meetings very impressed. In my opinion, Eric has gained the respect and admiration of players, coaches and others in the organization, and with him continuing to lead the team I feel that we are headed in the right direction. Working together, our goal is to build on the strong tradition of this franchise and help get the Browns back to the playoffs."

A nice rining endorsement from a "credible leader". Even with an impending playoff game, it's quote like this that makes me still disappointed that the Jets let go of Mangini for stupid PSLs.

Friends, this is a landmark day in the Browns expansion era. Mark my words, this is the best thing for this organization moving forward. Holmgren, Mangini, and a competent GM. Let's do it.

Before I forget, I've got to get this out of my system:

    Eff You Mike Florio

    Eff You Adam Schefter

    Eff You John Clayton

    Eff You Braylon Edwards

    Eff You Cris Carter

    Eff You Boomer Esiason

    Eff You Tony Grossi

    Eff You Pat McManamon

    Eff You Jamal Lewis

    Eff You Rod Hood

  • If you think about it, Mangin and Holmgrens beliefs are similar. Mangini ousted anyone not on the smae page and fully bought in, and Holmgren preached the same. It's easy to see how the meeting went well.

I hope Braylon Edwards ends up in Detroit next year.
