If the browns didnt have bad luck they would have no luck at all. This is insane.
Im sure BQ tried to down play this injury as much as possible because he wanted to play and didnt want to give DA a chance to show the good DA and have him win his job back. All we can hope for is the good DA shows up these last 5 games and ups his trade value. Then have a bright enough GM at the time to realize DA cant win under pressure and dump him for a high draft pick.
This is our opportunity to turn back the clock in a way (if the good DA shows up) and get a good trade for him.

Seems that Cleveland has been the qb killer team, because of the offensive line.
Even now, it's the right side, and I guess Fraley at center has been trying to help Hadnot, who is trying to help Shaffer.
Whatever, I don't know. But I see the Browns needing to sign or draft a couple of olinemen for the right side,
a big very good dlineman, a mLB and a corner.
This coaching staff, or major parts of it, is gone after the season, I think. Lerner is fed up.

I think even if DA tears it up the final 5 games that the team has already decided on going with BQ. So they basically have to trade him. If they can get a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him that will help. Bring in a veteran to back up BQ and then hopefully BQ shows that he can be the QB for the team.
I am a DA fan but his days in Cleveland are over. Get the most out of him that you can and move on. But, I do think he is capable of leading the Browns to a few more wins this year. If they can get close to .500 with this schedule and with the way the receivers have fallen apart that is a positive move. Not the move we all hoped for but a positive one.
By trading DA and going with BQ next season you WILL have the fans on your side and they will live with a developing QB because of who it is. The fans will be much more accepting of growing pains with BQ as the QB than probably any other QB in the league.
Hope his finger heals and the Browns have a great draft. I am not sure that RAC will get fired but he probably should be. I do not think that Savage will get fired, and I am not sure that he should be. So bring in a new coaching staff and a OC that will use BQ's mobility and see how next year pans out. The schedule will have to be easier.
The sky is not falling, but it is too bad that BQ will not be able to use these games to learn to be a NFL QB.

Use the picks to get a DL, LB and DB's.

What games do you see DA leading the team to a win? I think RAC lost this team and to be honest I don't think they will win a game the rest of the year. I hope they do but I just don't see it. I got really discourged during the houston game and see no promise until RAC is gone.

1. The kind of guy that ignored the injury, toughed it out for his teammates, and played DESPITE a season-ending cailber injury that couldn't possibly allow him to grip and throw the football.
2. I was at multiple games before the Quinn era, 2 during, and will be at many the rest of the year. How many you been to?

I think and hope that DA will play well. I pray that the fans will stop booing BE on his first drop!! If that didn't kill his confidence for the whole texans game, it should have. If you are a fan, you will get up and cheer for your qb. Wish the guy well and encourage your team. I know they look like shit right now but booing them is not going to help any. Believe me, they know they stink right now. I am sure they are going to go out and try hard to salvage this season. Sure they won't make the playoffs but at least they can try and bury some of their turds. As far as Quinn... I agree, who the hell lets a guy play with a torn tendon?!! Maybe RAC did that to get him out for the season so he could finish with DA, I highly doubt it but hell, at this point I just don't know.

There will be no more quarterback controversy in Cleveland this season.
FOXSports.com has learned that Browns quarterback Brady Quinn is done for the year after doctors revealed that the break to his right index finger has gotten worse since he's tried to play through the injury.
Team sources said that Quinn and the team made the decision together earlier today. Sources say that not only has the break in his right index finger worsened, but it is also starting to injure the tendons as well.
Derek Anderson will return as starter. Quinn met with renowned doctor James Andrews and the Browns brought in specialists as well.
A team source said that all agreed that Quinn needed to shut it down before the tendons tore from the bone.

Aside from the "could this get any worse"... where does this put our team? Do we continue to have a QB controversy for another off-season? Where is the future of our team? Will DA continue to be a Brown next year? Is BQ our QB in 09? Sorry, more questions than answers...was eagerly anticipating BQ establishing the fundamentals to be the QB we need for the future, because DA is nothing but limitations that we've seen far too often.
Also, does the resurgence of DA give Romeo carte blanche for another dismal season in 09?
Starting to feel really hopeless...

I think DA will help answer this with his performance. Either he will play well, or he won't. If he doesn't I can't blame him fully. I have seen the guy play great as well as terrible. Is Dorsey someone he can learn from or not? I personally have never seen Dorsey do anything great. I have never blamed everything on DA. That aside, I have seen bad things from him and continue to see them. I have also seen great things. I think this is a coaching problem. I believe that if we let DA go, we'll have to watch him come back to Cleveland and kick ass and take names. That's if he gets a good coach and team. I am dissapointed that we won't get to see what BQ could do this year, and I seriously hope this isn't a career ending injury! Only a complete asshole would wish a career ending injury on ANYONE. That's terrrible. If you are wishing that, you are a poor excuse for a human being.
