    B. What is the furthest south you have ever been? Miami

    C. What is the furthest east you have ever been? Washington DC

    D. What is the furthest west you have ever been? Hawaii

Cal: FYI, all of Hawaii is also further south than Miami. Gipper

Some people here need to work on their geography as much as their football. DrunkandStupid

LOL. Well, a great place to go check it out is GoogleEarth. You can set it up to see the earthquakes all over the world.

Including the most recent in terms of hours... check out all those earthquakes on the coast of California.

You can even type in "Area 51", and it will take you there. Amazing.

  • OK, in the glee...for some of the Saints winning the Super Bowl here is this weeks survey question, plus a few more to give yourself some thought:

    1. Who do you think should be the odds on favorites to win the Super Bowl next year?

    2. What is the Browns greatest position of need for the next draft?

    3. What is your favorite nickname for someone active in sports today?

    4. Should the Jaguars be moved to LA?

    5. A. What is the furthest north you have ever been?

    B. What is the furthest south you have ever been?

    C. What is the furthest east you have ever been?

    D. What is the furthest west you have ever been?

For purposes of deciding east and west, use the international dateline as the dividing point. E.g. if you have say, been to Japan, that is east....even if you got there by going west.

    1. Vikings if Favre is back or the Colts.

    2. CB or RT

    3. King James

    4. Yes (invariably someone will move to LA. Invariably the Jaguars will move. If the Jags move to LA, before 2011, then LA can't court the Vikings. I live in MN and I'd hate to see the Vikings leave.)

    5. A. Algonquin Provincial Park, Canada

    B. Corpus Christi, TX

    C. Boston, MA

    D. San Francisco, CA

    Quarterback or defensive back

    3. What is your favorite nickname for someone active in sports today?

    Phil Dawson...The Blizzard Wizard.

    4. Should the Jaguars be moved to LA?

No. I am against taking away a team from a city.

    1. Who do you think should be the odds on favorites to win the Super Bowl next year?

    Minn[?b]

    2. What is the Browns greatest position of need for the next draft?

FA is the area to address need, but QB and corner

    3. What is your favorite nickname for someone active in sports today?

    No clue

    4. Should the Jaguars be moved to LA?

    No

    5. A. What is the furthest north you have ever been?

Took a Reindeer sled inside the arctic circle on a trip to Finland for 3 days

    B. What is the furthest south you have ever been?

    New Zealand

    C. What is the furthest east you have ever been?

Been to Vietnam, but it still may be New Zealand

    D. What is the furthest west you have ever been?

    OK, now it's getting confusing

For purposes of deciding east and west, use the international dateline as the dividing point. E.g. if you have say, been to Japan, that is east....even if you got there by going west.

In that case, I guess I have been as far east and west as one can go

    @ballpeen said:

Yes, that is possible. I used the International Date Line, but in reality it is Longitude Line 180 degrees. If you have traveled across this longitude line, yes, you have been as far west and as far east as you have been.

New Zealand would be East as that country sits at between 165 degrees E. and 175 degrees east. However, if one were to travel in a northeasterly direction from there and visit Tonga or Samoa, you would be on the other side of the 180th longitude. Thus you would be in the West.

It is not a matter of which direction you travel, it is a matter of where you were longitudinally.

  • 5. A. What is the furthest north you have ever been?

    Portland, ME

    B. What is the furthest south you have ever been?

    Key West

    C. What is the furthest east you have ever been?

    Vietnam

    D. What is the furthest west you have ever been?

    California

Again, here, unless during your trip to Vietnam you stayed only directly on that country's northern border with China, you were likely further south than Key West during your stay in Vietnam.

Was that a luxury travel vacation to Nam by the way? Or was your trip an all expenses paid venture on Uncle Sam's dime?

  • Here is an interesting question:

What US City of the contiguous 48 states, is the only major US City to have a country other than Mexico south of it? What’s the country?

I meant the furthest south in the US 🙂 I was on the longest camping trip of my life courtesy of Uncle Sam.

    Instructions:

    1. Press Control N

    2. Type in Google.com for the url (just think if you have been to google before you will only have to type goo)

    3. Click on Maps at the top left

I also have been to the Quoddy Head Lighthouse. The very eastern most point of the USA. On September 1, 2008, I was the first American out of over 300 million to see the sun rise that day! (while standing on US proper soil)
