Is Hillis a full time HB or FB or a little of both? I just would like to know any opinions on what he is going to do for us.

I like big backs. I hate all tweeners unless they are RB's tweening toward FB.

    Let's pound the rock!

Same, I like his size. Is it possible he is going to be our starting HB now?

Look at his stats form 08. He caught for 116 one game, 4 weeks later ran for 129. Looks like a Brad Hoover type back. Can catch, run for short tough yards, some speed and can block.

No shit, look at this video. This dude is 250lbs? Any every down back?

  • Scratch some speed, dude can burn. No shit!!!

He runs over WIMBLEY, lol @ 2:20.

  • Why is BQ not on the new roster on the Browns websit but KW is? Hillis is already on it too.

they don't even have the Wimbley trade on their site yet.

  • He looks pretty soild, I wonder if we would use him in the TE position?

as a fb his main role would be to bang some heads as a punishing blocker. i would love to see him catch the ball out of the backfield like Lorenzo Neal. to me that's some real hardcore, blue collar football that gets the offense pumped up and turns the crowd into a frenzied mob. that is what i would love to see from hillis

Thanks for the video. The dude shows good hands and has great feet.

    I like it!

That pretty much describes Hillis. You should be happy if the coach utilizes his talents.

The first few clips here show him taking on tacklers and moving the pile forward.

Hey Bronc. I don't think we would of traded for him if not.

And to tell you the truth, I'm excited that he'll get the reps. Potentially a great player.

  • WOW. That is a big rb who can RUN. Ah, yeah, this Browns fo and coaching staff KNOW what they are doing.

This means we don't have to draft a big power back ! Shrewd moves, I say.

Please Kosar post this video on the Wimbley trade thread and serve athensbuck his lunch. He wants facts about wimbley, here is the video! Hillis is a very very good power back with exceptional hands. Perfect complement to our current backfield. We are going to love him here in cleveland. He is everything that touchdown tommy vardell never was. How bout that highlight at the 2:20 mark of that video! Hillis Trucking over Wimbley and carrying him for 7 yards all the way past the first down marker. Athensbucks like to be childish and say things like owned. Well here is your definition of owned at the 2 20 mark of this video!

Agreed, with Jennings, Harrision, Vickers and Davis we are set at back. I the way I see it, obviously we are not in contention for a few years, so why bring in a top tier back like Peterson to get banged up when we need him to run at 100%. Yea get him seasoned for a year. Backs run down in 5 years, let's wait until we are in contention to draft a top tier back.

    Tillis is sweet.

They'll be back with their tails between their legs.

  • Pretty good deal for the Browns. A decent fullback for Quinn who will be battling it out with Simms for the second spot behind Orton. Gotta be one of the big battles to watch this year.

  • I've got $50 that says Elvis Dumervil will be the first to punch Brady Quinn in the face on the Broncos.

  • Hillis

Heres a link to a 1700 post thread about Hillis last year. Alot of Bronco fans wanted to see him play more last year and for some reason Mcdaniels didnt really give him a chance even after all the good things he said about him earlier in the season. Even the Media was harrassing him about Hillis later on in the season. Asking why he wasnt being used and if he was in the doghouse. I was hoping he would be used more this upcoming season like Mcdaniels said he would but I guess he lied. It seems that alot of the Hillis lovers like the trade only because we know he wasnt going to be used here and we need a backup qb that can compete with Orton. Anyways I think you guys got a great player and hope he has success there.
