Why do leagues contiune to hand out awards during playoff runs?

Just so stupid that they dod these things right smack dab in the middle of a playoff series.

Just like last year! Seriously... Also what's the point of winning MVP two years in a row if you can't make it to the finals? This team is stacked with talent but looked horrible in game two!

Agreed. In some pro sports, such as bowling & golf, there can be a real drop off in production the following year due to the overwhelming social & business commitments of time & energy.

LBJ was draggin' for sure.
