Napolitano's to block media coverage of the disaster in Gulf
-
Napolitano's actual reasoning for invoking national security was to block media coverage of the immensity of the disaster that is unfolding for the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean and their coastlines
Maybe that is why the coast guard here in Wilmington has been dispatched to the Gulf.
The Obama administration also conspired with BP to fudge the extent of the oil leak, according to our federal and state sources. After the oil rig exploded and sank, the government stated that 42,000 gallons per day was gushing from the seabed chasm. Five days later, the federal government upped the leakage to 210,000 gallons a day.

If Bush were still President, there would be 24/7 coverage of this catastrophe. I guess 1984 arrived in 2010.

The problem with this ridiculous thread: There is no media ban, and there is 24/7 coverage of the oil spill. I see it updated on the hour, every day, and have since this started. And if you read the news, you'd see it too.
I have no idea where you are getting this.

Obamao is already talking about how there is too much information, and it's
putting "pressure on our Democracy".
we will be seeing this more and more, I think.

yep....and you can bet if the Republicans were in power you would be totally behind a news blackout. It's all a matter of perception.

It will come as no surprise to anyone that you've missed his point. He's talking about the growing number of people who now have access to so much "information" that isn't true, and how they are completely distracted by it, and therefore don't know what the truth is.
He's talking about you, Cal. And he's right.

That is an easy presumption to make heck when even you dont know everything about what is going on in the gulf.
But the more that the media is silenced over the truth it will make more people to want to learn more about it. We may here some crazy stories or we may not.
But what we do know is that both Obama's EPA and BP both have screwed up big time. And this is going to cost us much more than what we realized at first.

Hey, Mzmoonlitandlonely,
that's just another lie. See, conservatives value our FREEDOM and
we have PRINCIPLES.
It's YOU LEFTIES that change phoney alleged "values" and "principles"
like you change tissues from cold to cold, as
political expediency fits your sissy socialistic cult crap.
And Heck, you and Obamao regime folks get to decide WHAT is "true".
We get it. and you all won't get away with it.
But do feel free to hang a Chavez poster in your bedroom if you wish.
