All of those youngsters exiting college, facing the soon to come student loans payments get to join the crowd of the unemployed.

Life will contradict everything they have been taught while in college by all the socialist teachings that get rammed down their throats day in and day out.

Maybe the census will hire them.

Here's a fun question for you to answer, T: how would you like the president to give these people in Buffalo (or anywhere else) jobs?

What specifically would you like the president to do?

lower taxes, stop the freakin spending on everything else for power,

and it's too late to have done what he should have done with the stupid

        bailouts.

A massive retraining program, investment in new tech new factories,

and other programs like added BORDER CONTROL AGENTS, FINISH THE FREAKIN

FENCE AND STOP LETTING NEW DEM VOTERS IN, added employment in the

natural resources areas all over the country, big tax breaks on small farms' income,

and investment in NEW SMALL BUSINESSES that could start making products for sale AGAIN

instead of so many markets being DOMINATED BY CHEAP, LEAD TAINTED GOODS FROM CHINA,

LIMIT the GREEN CARD TEMP PROGRAM...

FORGET THE STUPID UNPOPULAR drive on socialized medicine and cap and ruin, drop his

leftist determination to drive coal companies out of business,

if it were Bush, you wouldn't be asking "well gosh, whatever would you expect

Bush to do about it" .....

Still playin it both ways to the end. Not good, Heck.

First of all since we had the housing bubble burst do to the presidents ACORN demanding home owner loans to those who could not afford them. .....The Banks have yet to start making loans to small businesses who need them.

Second lower taxes on business, and reduce capital gains taxes.

Third enforce the imagration laws and remove all the illegal aliens from the work place so americans can fill those jobs.

Fourth start making doing business in America easier by rescinding the health care reform law that creates a major burden on them to comply with his new Commi Law.

          And may I continue.....

If you're coming out of college and you don't have a freakin job, then I don't feel sorry for you. You know how much college costs going into it. You knew four years ago that the economy wasn't in the best of shape. You know that you're going to be in a shit ton of debt if you go to college due to its costs rising above the inflation. If you major in Communications, I'm sorry, but don't be surprised that your college degree is about as useful as a high school diploma. If you major in the humanities, and expect to get a job with your BA, you're an idiot. If you take the easy classes to go to grad school, then fine, I commend you (I wish I had done the same thing, now I only have a measly 3.0). My BS in physics is worthless, but at least I know that I need to go to grad school if I want anything that slightly resembles a job. My girlfriend majored in humanities, and now, no one will hire her. I, for one, am not surprised.

Cal, it's not as easy as you're claiming it is. A ten-foot fence requires an eleven-foot ladder, and like most other employment options, it's only temporary. Thousands of people are needed to help clean up the oil spill. I believe that if you want to create a BUNCH of temporary jobs, have BP pay people to clean it up, unfortunately the government is in the oil company's pockets so I doubt I'll see that.

I think that giving money to small businesses would be like turning your back on Wal-mart and other companies that employ most uneducated Americans. Even though they employ many illegals, I think the number of legal employees they have is too large to ignore.

I agree with you on cheap-ass Chinese products, but no president can do much about controlling the supply and demand of shit like that.

T, if all illegals were removed from the workplace and replaced with legal workers, the price of produce would skyrocket, adding to that inflation issue that you brought up in another thread.

What is a work visa for then.

temporary workers apply here then go back home.

Greenspan says illegal immigration good for the U.S. Good for who? Wall St. or Main St.

Some aspects of illegal immigration are good for America. Cheap produce if you're a consumer. Cheap labor if you're a farmer/Wal-Mart. However, what's good for them/you isn't good for everyone else and may very well be f*cking everyone over.

Well, Vapor has made some fine points.

But I still would rather pay an extra five bucks for

a pancake flipper that doesn't have any toxic

additives from China for 99 cents.

And tennis shoes. And a clock radio.

However, I CAN find tools made in the USA.

                  There's hope for us yet.

But Obama did lower taxes. You all seem to forget that part. Cut them for the working class. You had less withholding in your paycheck. Also cut them for the unemployed. Extended the AMT patch. Cut them for small businesses. And he's pushing for even more business tax cuts now, hiring credits.

I guess in crazyland, if you don't cut taxes for wealthy people, they don't count.

Facts be damned. Insert crazy conspiratorial nonsense instead - ACORN home loans caused the housing bubble. And that the stimulus spending wasn't counter-cyclical spending to ward off a deeper recession, it was to buy votes.

                    Probably something Hitler did, too.

In the real world that couple bucks to people who pay little or nothing already evaporated into thin air.

                      Like the stupid Bush "rebate."

But hey I'm gettin' me some free money.

                      But you're right.

But the rich are the scapegoats du jour.

The debt is the problem you refuse to recognize.

Eat some more seed corn Heck.

But you have the power Heck.

Raise those taxes and slash those benefits.

C/mon. lean in and take one for the team.

No, you idiot. Those tax cuts didn't disappear into thin air, and neither did Bush's. Your complete lack of knowledge of even basic economics makes this conversation impossible.

And "the debt is the problem you refuse to recognize" - that would be doing it again.
