    A. What did that logo look like?

    B. Who led the revolt against the use of that logo?

BTW, Collier was 57 when to took over the Browns. Carson was 58. Actually, the correct answer might be Romeo (depending on the dates of hire)

On the young side Billichik was 38 when he was hired. That is one year older than when McBride hired paul Brown.

Now that I am optimistic about the Team more than anytime since 1994 I plan on being at two games. I will need new tailgate instructions. Going back the questions, he said you missed four and CB was one of those, the two I thought you may have been wrong were the ones which you so astutely corrected me on.

The only other one he may not be crediting you for is the teams he coached thinking when you said Navy you meant the Naval Academy when indeed I sure you meant the Great Lakes Naval Station Team during WWII.

Other than that I cannot determine what else could be wrong

    Here are the answers:

    1. What year did the Browns join the NFL and what other AAFC teams came with them?

1950 along with the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Colts (not the current Colt franchise)

    2. Who was the original owner of the Browns, and what sort of business was he in?

Arthur B. "Mickey" McBride who was as mentioned in the taxi business as well as real estate, printing, plus he ran a horse racing new wire service for which there were certain allegations of corruption.

    3. In 1965, a helmet logo was designed for use by the Browns, but were never used:

    A. What did that logo look like? It was a block C over a block B. I will post a photo at some point. B. Who led the revolt against the use of that logo? Quarterback Frank Ryan who told Modell "not gonna do it".

As for Roach's statement the Helmet Logos are gay, while perhaps true, it was, nevertheless, non-reponsive to the question! 🥷

    4. Who did the Browns play in their very first postseason game?

New York Yankees, a 14-9 win

    5. When and to whom did the Browns lose their first postseason game?

    1951 LA Rams

    6. Name at least 3 entities that Paul Brown coached before becoming the coach of the Browns.

There were 4: Severn HS in Maryland, Massillon HS, Ohio State, and the Great Lakes Naval Training Station. (right NOT "NAVY")

    7. The Cleveland Browns football team was not the only sports franchise to use that name. What were the other "Cleveland Browns"?

There was a Negro League baseball team called The Cleveland Browns that played in 1924 and 1925. (not to be confused with the Cleveland Grays)

    8. How many losing seasons did Paul Brown and Blanton Collier have between them?

One is correct. 1956 PBs team went 5-7. Collier's worst record was .500, 7-7.

    9. Who was the youngest person to become the Head Coach of the Browns, and who was the oldest?

Paul Brown was the younest. He was one day shy of his 38th birthday. Mangini is next oldest at 38 years, 9 months. Belichick was 39.

Oldest was Bud Carson at 59, then Crennell who was 58.

    10. What team or teams have the Browns played the most in post season play?

The Lions and the Colts. 4 times each. This is the question roach had sorta right. He said "Baltimore", but the Browns have played the Colts 4 time, one of which was while they were in Indianapolis.

    11. What percentage of the Browns did Art Modell actually own? Who owned the rest?

57% with Robert Gries owning 43%

Bonus: Paul Brown was a backup QB in high school. The QB he backed up became famous as a member of a particular "group" with a specific "nickname" What "group" was that?

Paul Brown backed up a guy named Harry Stuhldreher, who after HS attended Notre Dame and became one of the famed "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse".

The Colt franchise that joined in 1950 is the same Franchise as the one in Baltimore now in Indianapolis

The "Four Horsemen" were the guys from Notre Dame..........I do not remember the "of the apocalypse" part however.

    Good set of questions............

here are two for you ...........who is the last player in major league history to steal home twice in the same game

and who the record for longest punt in NFL History...........

No, it isn't. Check this out from pro-football referenes "Defunct franchise" section:

Year Lg Tm W L T Pts PtsO PtDif Coaches Passing Rushing Receiving Pts Yds Pts Yds T/G Pts± Yds± out of MoV SoS SRS OSRS DSRS

    1950 NFL Baltimore Colts 1 11 0 213 462 -249

    1949 AAFC Baltimore Colts 1 11 0 172 341 -169

    1948 AAFC Baltimore Colts* 7 7 0 333 327

    1947 AAFC Baltimore Colts 2 11 1 167 377

The "new" Baltimore Colts didn't start up until about the 1954 season and came out of the remnants of the defunct Dallas Texans franchise that played only 1 year: 1952

The "Four Horsemen" were the guys from Notre Dame..........I do not remember the "of the apocalypse" part however.

    Babe Ruth

Don't know, but some reason I think it was a guy with the Eagles..or perhaps, Sammy Baugh

The "Four Horsemen" of Notre Dame was perhaps used more frequently, but they got there name from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Here is the beginning of the original Grantland Rice Article from which the name came:

The foursome needed some help from Grantland Rice, a sportswriter for the former New York Herald Tribune, to achieve football immortality. After Notre Dame's 13-7 upset victory over a strong Army team, on October 18, 1924, Rice penned a famous passage of sports journalism:

"Outlined against a blue-gray October sky, the Four Horsemen rode again. In dramatic lore their names are Death, Destruction, Pestilence, and Famine. But those are aliases. Their real names are: Stuhldreher, Crowley, Miller and Layden. They formed the crest of the South Bend cyclone before which another fighting Army team was swept over the precipice at the Polo Grounds this afternoon as 55,000 spectators peered down upon the bewildering panorama spread out upon the green plain below."

Of course the reference was to the Biblical passage in Revelations. Whether the football reference usually dropped the "of the Apocalypse" reference that may be so. Here is a little more of the story:

George Strickler, then Rockne's student publicity aide and later sports editor of the Chicago Tribune, made sure the name stuck. He had pitched the idea out loud at the halftime of the Army game in the press box as a tie in to the 1921 Rudolph Valentino movie The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.[1] After the team arrived back in South Bend, he posed the four players, dressed in their uniforms, on the backs of four horses from a livery stable in town. The wire services picked up the now-famous photo, and the legendary status of the Four Horsemen was assured.[2]

    You like the "blue-gray color?

Pretty cool. Did not know the Bmore Colts folded after one year 1950. They played each other that year. The Browns never played the Dallas Texans NFL and did not play the Colts again till 1956.

The detail on the Four Horsemen was cool

Babe Ruth was not the last guy to steal home twice in the same game if he ever did. Happened some years later but some time ago.

The punter record is held closer to home

My original answer for the first Q was going to be Willie Mays. (but honestly I don't think that is right)

and on the second, now that I think about it, it may have been Horace Gillom. That may have been a question I have used in the past.
