    You can find it here:

I can see why he would want to get a new deal.

  • Hope they take care of Phil . I am just used to him being around . He is what we need .

  • It's one position that we haven't had to worry about for the last 10 years. It would be nice if we could get another year or two out of Phil before he retires.

  • If Phil is still performing well I really want him around when the browns begin to win.

  • to say "pay phil" right now would be overreacting. phil didn't show up for the otas last year either. i'm sure the browns will see if he shows up for the mandatory mini-camp and take it from there.

I don't think it's overreacting at all. Suisham sucks and most people know that. It's tough to kick in Cleveland in the winter and Phil has been nothing but solid. We need to keep him if we plan on running the ball and controlling the clock. Kicking is huge with that type of offense.

  • Shoulda kept Billy Cundiff. The kid made kicks. Billy the Kid. I'm a genius.

I agree. In a ball control type game, kicking is critical.

We all want touchdowns no doubt, but the real killer is killing 6 minutes of clock then missing the kick for 3.

    That has to be rare.

  • i don't understand how anyone can say the browns are in big trouble, at this point. i value phil dawson as an important piece to the browns, but it's just the otas he hasn't shown up to. he didn't go to the otas last season either. if phil comes out and says he's holding out for more money or if he doesn't show up to the mandatory mini-camp, then the browns will have a situation to deal with.

besides, who knows what holmgren and heckert are working on. heck, they've only been here for a few months and everybody wants a new contract. they have a bunch of rookies to sign to. i just think the best thing to do is wait and see if phil shows up to the mandatory mini camp.

  • Phils leg isnt what it used to be but the browns have failed as usual to bring in and prep a young accurate fresh leg so my analysis is real simple...PAY PHIL! 😉
