Boy, what a difference a year makes in Browns football! Not much for us to argue over yet this year, but I get the sense the fan base just has no clue what to expect and is taking a wait and see approach. I guess we'll have to wait until Delhomme throws his first pick before people start screaming for McCoy and we can argue about it for the rest of the season. So, I got curious on what was happening with our two favorite knucklehead QBs from last year and did a little googling.

    On Quinnie-poo,

Not much talk about him in Denver as Tebow mania has swept the city. He is coming into the season as their #2 QB, but there is speculation that if Orton goes down the clouds may part and Tebow will descend from heaven onto the football field. Quinn's accuracy is still being questioned by the media (here) and the fanbase seems to view him as just a backup QB (here)

    On Anderception,

DA finds himself in the middle of another QB competition with a different wanna-be male model QB in Matt Leinart. Leinart appears to have the nod right now but as usual, DA has looked good in camp and has their coach excited. "Matt learned a lot from Kurt -- I'm excited about him and I'm excited by Derek Anderson, who has been to a Pro Bowl and understands the game," Whisenhunt said. "I think everyone knows we don't shy away from competition. Go back three years ago, and I don't think anyone thought Kurt was going to be the guy but he won the battle with Matt." Article (here)

Unbelievable that we were arguing last year about which of these QBs were going to lead our Brownies into the future! Go 2010 Browns!

Well we shouldn't scream for mccoy this year no matter what. The kid is going to be a quality qb but needs to sit for at least a year and probably two.

I was wondering who else breaks things when the browns lose. I will be honest, I cry, curse, actually say I hope the opposite team dies out of anger. How do other people watch games and be passionate with out being Retarded like me

The funny thing is that I am not so sure it would be a surprise if DA were to eventually beat out Leinert for the Arizona starting job. I am just not so sure that Leinert is what he is cracked up to be. So far Leinert has "Joey Harrington" written all over him. As questionable as DA is, he can go on a hot streak. We've seen it. Not sure if Leinert can.

There are still the QB's to haggle over, as Seneca Wallace was being mentioned to be pushing Jake Delhomme after the first day of training camp. Pretty boy Colt McCoy waits in the wings, just as Brday Quinn.

The difference is, is that we sent all of the whining members from here packing after their little tissy last August, September & mid-October and the site is a much, much, better place in their absence.

Looking forward to some great football analysis here this season like all the years prior.

Unproven owner, president, GM ,HC, OC, DC and a desperate QB on his last leg with an inexperienced WR corp..

No controversies yet as we have to wait and watch a currently unproven regime and team fold and unfold but by this time next year there will likely be plenty of controversy brewing on multiple levels...😉

We have been rebuilding since 1964, Why stop now? GO BROWNS!

I heard Delhomme has done that a few times, too. They all got intercepted.

I put a golf club right into a couch when we lost to the Steelers by 3 in 2007...was practicing my putting at the time and just took a tiger woods swing at the couch and left a big hole. Would have been very ironic if Tim Couch was quarterbacking that game eh?

i was on the way home from work listening to the game on the radio. so everything was sounding good until that last drive by the lions. i started to worry, but the time was expiring so that made me feel a little better. all poteat had to do was turn around and he would've seen stafford throwing the ball in the other damn direction. that's what made his penalty so stupid.

damn, i'm glad his sorry ass isn't on this team anymore. that alone improves our secondary. 😆

i had a pretty epic meltdown after the overtime loss to the bengals last year.

when USC beat ND on the last play in 2005, i went full chernobyl

Perhaps we should be asking what we will do this season when we start winning some. 🙂

When we lose I just kind of lose the will to live and get my depressed and disappointed face on. see below. That's the kind of face I have when I have travelled over the atlantic to see us put up 6 points with two field goals.

But when my mate G-Man sees the browns lose, he tries to stop everyone seeing it on TV by covering up the TV camera at the top pf the Dawgpound! I'm surprised he didn;t get thrown out! Here he is planning his operation, getting the flag straight before leaping up to the camera booth and throwing the flag over the camera! Happy days.

Tailgate loving, Steelers hating, Trans-Atlantic Browns fan. Annually disappointed since '88. Annually optimistic since '88. GO BROWNS!

Yea, everyone was pretty grim faced that day. Love that last shot though. Maybe you should send a rendition of that to Randy Lerner.

Yeah its crazy how winning and losing effects our weeks. The 1987 championship game was probably the biggest deppresion I ever went through. Till this day it kills me, kosar was god like. I guess the only thing worse than that wwas when fart modell moved the team. It was such a weird feeling wacthing football on sundays, nothing to look foward to nothing to live for. I say after model dies we should dig him up and hang him from a goal post
