NFL Players Not Impressed with Roger Goodell’s Visits

NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell has been taking a trip to various training camps on John Madden’s Vista Cruiser and having some question and answer sessions with the players.

The players have been highly unimpressed, embarrassed and unappreciative.

Players on the Ravens, Chiefs, Redskins and Browns said they were not satisfied with what they heard when the Commissioner visited their training camps.

Chiefs guard Brian Waters said he did not appreciate the way Goodell tried to pass himself off as a "liaison" between the players and owners.

"I mean, that's almost like a slap in the face to our intelligence," Waters said. "We know the owners are paying him. Don't take us for granted as far as our understanding of what's going on here."

Ravens cornerback Domonique Foxworth said that when Goodell called himself a liaison, "You could definitely hear guys chuckling."

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's visit with the team was a "total waste of time."

Browns linebacker Scott Fujita said Goodell did not have answers for the questions he and his teammates were asking him.

"I was hopeful we'd get some more answers," Fujita said. "I think he came in unprepared for how educated the players were going to be. A lot of guys were concerned about it afterward, and I think kind of shocked for how unprepared he was for these kinds of questions."

Goodell has met with eight teams already and has more visits scheduled, with the Colts up next on Saturday.

I don't think he is a bum by any means, but it is a bit transparent if he is trying to pass himself off as a liaison between players and management.
