SYNOPSIS OF WEEK ONE TC?
-
as being someone outside the cleveland area but being a huge fan of the browns, i was wondering if anyone there could do a running weekly synopsis of team camp for those who don't have the cleveland media mass to keep us 'in the know'. specifically:
1) will delhomme be able to satisfactorily not be a BUM?
2) is harrison the number one back or is hardesty making a run for the job?
3) how does the young receiving corp. look?
4) any rookies seem like they will be rising to the top and be considered a steal in the draft?
i've read the updates from camp and stuff but if there could be a cliff notes version of the week it'd be cool. -thanks!

Delhomme has been shakey so far, but anything has to be better than the "QBs" we had last season
2) is harrison the number one back or is hardesty making a run for the job?
So far it looks to be between Harrison and JAMES DAVIS. Hardesty has been hurt and should return to practice this week, but I have heard nothing but excellent things about Davis
3) how does the young receiving corp. look?
Haven't heard anything about MoMass yet...good or bad. Robiskie seems to be distinguishing himself as the most improved of the bunch. I've heard even Cribbs has shown improvement over last season but we can't rely on him at WR
4) any rookies seem like they will be rising to the top and be considered a steal in the draft?
so far, no, but it is still early.

yeah i probably posted this w/o reading the scrimmage thread ahead of me. if we could be 3 deep strong at running back i think it will open up the passing game even if that is our weakest point on paper. who knows, delhomme could surprise us and be at least decent enough not to lose games for us. upsetting news about mccoy. i don't care about being a rookie blah blah. if you've got 'IT' it shows. sanchez is a perfect example from last year. hoping it's first time (new fans, new place) jitters. lord knows it's a long way from bum-xxxx texas.

sanchez got carried by a dominant O Line, running backs, and defense.

Peyton Manning didn't show "IT" his first year and he's the sh"it". He's been through 1 week of training camp and played with mixed pieces everywhere. I wasn't a big fan of him out of college but I'm not gonna judge him after a week of training camp.

true, but at least he had the swagger to go into camp and not be intimidated by the vets, who liked him from the get-go, or the fanatical ny media. believe me the media here will kill ya. just ask randy johnson or AROD (afag).
peyton manning is a whole nother bird. show me any player or coach in the history of the game who studies as much film as he does. i'm not hoping for mccoy to bomb, just step up and sound off like you got a pair.

Yeah im still not sold on Sanchez i think last year he had the second highest turnover ratio only behind Jay Cutler also he attempted the fewest amount of passes by a QB last year by a significant amount

sanchez was struggling just like colt mccoy is now, so i'm not sure how he's a shining example of what colt should be like. i'll never understand how some people are so quick to give up on a rookie. can colt atleast get a couple years under his belt before final judgement is made on him? it's not like colt hasn't done anything positive in tc.
you should hear some of the numbskull colt haters on wknr. they act like they have a crystal ball or something.
