BEREA — Cleveland Browns rookie running back Montario Hardesty is practicing for the first time since injuring his right knee during a pretraining camp workout.
Hardesty sustained a bone bruise to his knee during a one-on-one tackling drill before Cleveland’s veterans reported to camp. Hardesty said he hurt his leg while making a cut.
Browns coach Eric Mangini said Hardesty, who has had a history of knee problems, will be limited in practice Thursday as the team prepares for Saturday’s third exhibition game in Detroit. Mangini said Hardesty is questionable against the Lions “with the arrow pointed down.”
The Browns traded three picks to Philadelphia to move up in April’s draft and select him in the second round (No. 59 overall). He rushed for 1,345 yards last season at Tennessee.

Great News thank you for the Info.

I'm having doubts about his durability, especially in the NFL. Time will tell.

i've noticed that since holmgren has been here, the browns take alot of extra precautions when it comes to injuries (which is a good thing). look at the way they handled the injuries to e wright and mo mass. they were healthy and could've played in those preseason games they were held out of, but the browns didn't want to rush them back (esp. since they were just preseason games). seems like the browns are just playing it smart and safe. maybe that's why montario was held out as long as he was from practice? we shall see.

"history of knee injuries"; "hurt his leg while making a cut"; "bone bruise to his knee during one onn one tackling drill ' "limited in practice"
WTF you can't coodle these high round picks forever. Strike iron while the fire's hot. i hope he stays healthy and can contirbute out of the gate.

The kid came with red flag durability troubles and then gets this bone bruise and misses all of camp...but according to mangenius hardesty is so phat skilled he will be able to start from game 1....hmmm, the question now is will he be able to start game 2..i hope this kid is the beast the genius claims he is and that he works out and stays healthy...but he is on my questionable list for now...seeing is believing.

You might want to work on that signature picture considering 3 of the guys who's jerseys you have aren't on the team anymore...

Gips, Heckert drafted Hardesty, I don't understand how that sits on Mangini's shoulders....
I really can't understand you distain for Mangini... He's cleaned up the roster, added some good players and (on at least paper) has the Browns headed in the right direction....
The man bleeds Browns football, understands the history and has a strong desire to win....
Unless you have something on him that I don't know of, I like what I see and support his endeavors...
Lighten' up---- we'll all celebrate together in the near future...
Peace
