  • Look, after 2 weeks we have the 14th overall defense and the 16th overall offence. Now I know it's only 2 weeks in and the teams were Tampa and K.C. but that is a pleasent jump from 31st and 32nd. What is killing us even more than Daboll's playcalling is turnovers and penalties(sp?). Eliminate those two factors and we are 2-0 looking decent. Bottom line...players need to show up and execute.

    Go Browns!!!

were putting stats up. Were just being sloppy.

Yes but considering they were 31st in defense last year....I'd say it's a big step up.

We'd probably be #1 in the points scored on category if it wasn't for the offense consistently setting them up in field goal range with turnovers

  • Turnovers lost the first two games.

  • I agree. The team's looking greatly improved to me, even playing with our #2 QB.

Well, just on the pick 6's alone that is 14 points of the total 33 points they gave up. That means the defense is giving up only 19 points (and some of those have been on short, after fumble drives).

That is 9.5 per game....or, the same as the Steelers defense.

  • There is no doubt that the team is overall improved but how improved we really wont know until after we play the rat turds next sunday..its hard to tell where we actually stand until after we have played some quality teams, on the other hand both TB and KC looked pretty good and may be better than many think..

9.5 a game would put us in first place, then subtract the 2-3 field goals that the D made stops on when the offense fumbled and were talking about an elite D...effin turnovers

That's exactly how I feel....we have our share of offensive problems, but it did look like Tampa Bay's defense is for real. KC shut down the Chargers, so both of those teams are improved.

This Sunday is a big test...the Ratbirds are struggling on offense to score points, but they still have that stifling defense. I see a low-scoring game (unless turnovers galore). First one to 14 points will win it...here's hoping we can do it against a quality opponent at their place.
