How will Davis do if Harrison is still hurt?

  • It will be interesting to see what Davis can do, but I dont see our running game so much success against the Ravens as we did in the previous two games.

  • I have been for mixing mitchell and davis in from the beginning to offer different looks and concerns to various defenses, to unstack the playing field if you will...but now they will come into a static status quo offense as one size fits all subs and will only confuse the turdbirds briefly if at all, we have to assume mitchell is fast enough to burn the ravens if he has been prepped and stays on route(likely not) and gets man coverage which is what irks me about mangini's system, why not use every tool you have at your disposal every game raw rookie or not he cant suck any worse than robo right? and you could uncover a gem, i dunno gameday playcalling laziness ,rookie distrust, ignorance, linear single minded system or a combo of all...you decide...

We dont have 11 impact players on offense but you dont need 11 impact players its a team sport and the more you mix packages and personnel the more likely you are to catch a mismatch but it requires an active multitasking coach and OC working as a team to make it happen...

Now that there is a little fire under mangini's feet lets see if he is a man or a weasel does he dance to put it out or just sweep it under dabs already burning feet making dabs burn even faster..

  • I want to see Mitchell too. He's got speed and the hands to catch the ball. He was a baller at USF. Not sure how he's going to play out in the pros, but with Robo injured, i think this is a great game to bust him out in.

  • I'll actually be most interested to see how well he picks up the blitzes. Because God knows we'll be seeing them each play!

Yo -- last time I heard someone called a "baller" it was Quinn talking about Dorsey LOL.

Don't ruin Mitchell's career before it starts!

Lol, sorry. I am a little biased as he went to my school.

  • I can't wait to wear my James Davis jersey this week.

Even though I wear it every week.

What made you get a Davis jersey? You go to the same school?

  • I think he'll do great, he's alot faster than people give him credit for. When he gets free he can kick it into second gear, reminds me alot of Adrian Perterson the way he runs.

  • Harrison and Robiske didn't practice. It's looking like Davis may get some playing time this weekend. I'm excited to see what this kid's got.

The Ravens are 13th in the League on run defense giving up 105.0 yards a game. I'm hoping a big run game featuring Hills and Davis will pound them into submission. The Raven's offense is worse than ours, we just need to get over the 2nd half hump.

If we stick with the run with these guys, i think we got a shot to win. It may be a LOOOOONNNNGGG shot, but it's any given Sunday.

How do you guys think Hills and Davis will fair against this D?

The Ravens offensive stats are skewed compared to yours because they played two good teams as opposed to two door mats. Davis sucks Hillis not rush for more than 50 yards. Only inferior teams and fans of those teams use the any given sunday bs.

well both of the "doormats" we have played are both 2-0.. ravens played 2 teams that are both 1-1.. so your statement is false- at least for now...

  • I don't think it possiblle to be worse than harrison this year...if davis holds onto the ball its improvement. Positive yardage is a huge improvement.

  • So far in his career Davis hasn't had a chance to have success. I do not like the matchup this week for him to have success but I do hope he gets some carries and shows a little bit of something. Living in Columbus I listen to 97.1 the fan. In the afternoon they he these two guys who aren't very good at thier jobs. They talk crap about the Browns every day and half of the time they don't even have thier facts straight. However one think they were possibly right about this week is that we do not have a great running back on our team, or a great wide receiver. And we did not draft either in this years draft which was a mistake. I agree that the Browns needed to get an impact player on offense in this years draft and didn't. However the reason I said that they were possibl correct was that I am not sure that the Browns do not have a great running back on the team. Davis could very well be that guy. However we will not know if Mangini doesn't give him a fair shot. We are not going to the playoffs this year so let's see what Davis can do. I just hope that they don't do what the Browns usually do and give Davis some carries against this tough Ravens defense and then if he doesn't have success use that as an excuse to put him back on the bench for the rest of the season.

And somebody else said it earlier and I couldn't agree more. I also want to see how he does blocking on blitzes because I believe that this is one of his weaknesses.

One thing we do know is that Hillis is an ok back and Harrison is an ok back. We are happy to have them both, but we need to find an impact player, a difference maker on offense.
