Browns place D'Qwell Jackson on injured reserve
Posted by Michael David Smith on September 25, 2010 8:08 PM ET
The Cleveland Browns have announced that linebacker D'Qwell Jackson has been placed on injured reserve, meaning his season is over.
Jackson suffered a pectoral injury in August and had missed the first two games of the season, but he was said to be making progress, so the news comes as a surprise. Jackson missed most of last season with an injury to his other pectoral muscle.
The Browns have filled Jackson's place on the 53-man roster by signing wide receiver Sam Aiken. Last year Aiken caught 20 passes for 326 yards for the Patriots, but he was released after the preseason this year.
The Browns also announced that receiver Brian Robiskie (hamstring) and defensive lineman Shaun Rogers (ankle, hip) will miss Sunday's game and receiver Joshua Cribbs (ankle) has been downgraded to questionable.

Wow, shocker. I actually thought he was finally getting healthy. Guess I was wrong, so he must torn it again.

With this guy

I hope he can make those catches on a regular basis

Man, someone in that front office has to be kicking themselves that they couldn't pull off a trade involving DQ in the off-season.

Its unfortunate the missle is still raw and untested...in pre-season i recall him being easily nudged off his route, but its not like the ratbirds aren't going to know who the intended targets are and even the routes they will be running on any particular play...

This is starting to look pretty scary, injury-wise. Now it's looking like two of our best players (Rogers, Cribbs) will miss today's game against the Ravens. It's hard to see how we can overcome such significant losses.
