can't speak to all that goes on with the fans in the stadium.............and as far as touting "i speak for all fans!"..........horse shit.

BUT what's the big deal with the guy/fan becoming recognizable? no i'm not one to dress up in big paper mache' heads or bare his orange painted beer belly (with the letter B of a six man stoop line) in frigid lake effect weather, but don't down the guys that do. it just means they are more creative with their garb, shout louder or have better seats.

i live in ny york and this fireman ed is all over the place. he even wormed his way into some espn spots. but what one day is cool or funny the next day is old and tiresome. someone will toss a beer at him just cuz he gets all the attention. human nature. yes it rears it ugly head once again.

            http://www.clevelandfrowns.com/2010/10/whe...pound-mike.html

This doesnt answer your question, but it paints the beggining of a picture that may have him tagged in the future as Lambeau Larry!

            -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where in the World is Dawg Pound Mike?

It's hard to believe it was less than a year ago that Mike Randall, aka Dawg Pound Mike, was national news for using his "superfan" status and a fan club mailing list to organize a self-serving protest at Cleveland Browns Stadium. ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Mike & Mike, The Really Big Show; Everybody wanted to talk with and about Dawg Pound Mike. So much so that Browns owner Randy Lerner held a highly-publicized and rather unprecedented summit with Mike and his accomplice, "Mobile Dawg" Tony Schaefer.

An impossible amount of Dawg Pound Mike only just eleven months ago, yet now he's gone completely off the map. No more Dawg Pound Mike Twitter; No more MAR Sports Marketing website; His girlfriend is selling his Browns gear on Ebay; And the Dawg Pound Mike website -- once a source of endless horror for elementary English teachers and fun for everyone else, where Mike was asking you for sexy pictures and cash for a Josh Cribbs billboard only just in February -- is now almost entirely unnavigable, containing just a memorial to Mike's departed friend Roy and a link to the 2010 Browns schedule.

We hope Mike's health is okay, and the intent here isn't to pile on, but we can't not be glad to see that Mike's illegitimate and embarrassing seizure of the title of "Representative Browns Fan" looks to have fizzled out. All the more mind-blowing that Lerner ever sat down with this guy in the first place. We really have come a long way in less than a year, here. Really.

Hope everyone has a decent weekend. We'll be back by Sunday morning with a preview for Browns/Bengals along with some NFL picks.

Yeah, I almost forgot about him too. Good point, I haven't seen him promoting anything lately either. You can't go out and puff-out your chest like you are Joe-fan, or bigger than anyone else, it comes back to haunt you everytime. Big Dawg probably didn't deserve the ass-beatiung he received from the fans, Dawgpound Mike probably did as he changed like a cameleon from the Frye Guy to DPM, etc ... to get noticed. Big Dawgs demise was the cereal box that came out in his name. Bone Lady may be next ...

Who I would like to see get blwon up is the Braylon Bunch now Bunch Backers ... these tools run fundraiser after fundraiser to support themselves and provide themselves with a painted up van, etc ,,, and that IMO is not what being a fan is all about.

I never personally spent any time with Big Dawg but I do remember the trip some of us fans made to Atlanta when the owners were meeting there to discuss the fate of the Browns after the Modell move. I seem to remember that Big Dawg rode a bus down from Ohio with a group of fans. The handful of fans I ran into who rode that bus complained about what a pompous jerk the guy was. He was polite when I met him but not "friendly." IMHO that doesn't make him a jerk. There doesn't seem to be a lot of longevity in the ranks of the fan-representatives.

I wont knock a guy like dawgpound mike or any fan that is disgruntled and considers organizing against what they perceive as a travesty...lerner still sucks and we still dunno if holmgren is going to be the answer and we dont even know what our future holds, its like the browns re-enter the fray every year as a new expansion team..we have no solidity like most other fans have...

So you were one of the people that proverbially slapped our own team's athletes in the face by not showing up for their first play? And if you didn't boycott the kickoff, it sounds like you are, at the very least, advocating the route he took. It was xxxxing stupid and misguided, and it sends the wrong message to our players, imho.

Eff that guy. I saw him at tailgate last year and told him he was an asshole and doesn't speak for the entire fanbase.

I met Big Dawg a couple of times. Once in my office as he came knocking at our door selling copy machines, so I invited him in. We shot the shit for several minutes and he appeared to be a really nice guy. I felt sorry for him and all the backlash. He was recognized from his front row dawgpound seats, 400+lb body and cool Dawg mask. He was the face of the dawgpound and wasn't self-appointed. It was the NFL that accepted him into the fan hall-of-fame along with the three guys who dressed up like female hogs at Redskin games and others. Big Dawg took a public beat-down when Carmen Policy and crew sold us out for the corporate wine and cheese crowd and Big Dawg became a marketing ploy, not just a fan anymore. It wasn't Big Dawgs fault though. I felt extreamly bad for the guy when he got a DUI and it made the headlines through all media. That was going too far, and I wouldn't blame him from distancing himself from everything brown and orange.

Everything that lead to the demise of the Charlie frye guy Dawgpound Mike, was deserving from an implode of self-promoting. He tried to ride the Big Dawg wave and it came off very cheesy.

As I've stated and ranted before, this guy was the biggest fraud as a Browns 'superfan'. Unlike Big Dawg, this tool openly tried to market himself and cared more about getting on tv than anything else. Now, I'm not a big dawg fan, but at least he didn't go out looking for his notoriety. He was just a big fat dude in the same place for every home game that the Lerners attached themselves to in order to try and connect with the fans.

I completely agree that the tool Mike was always in it for bad reasons. It made me SICK when Tommy Boy Lerner let his guy speak for all of us. I almost lost faith completely when that came out. Doesn't everyone remember that this is the MORON that ALLOWED Chad Johnson (I will not dignify his name change) to jump into OUR DAWGPOUND. It was clear that Chad paid him off in some way or shape. Before the game Chad went up to the jerk with a head nod. Then he scored and ran right to him. In the pictures everyone dumped beer on him EXCEPT mike. He welcomed him in with open arms.

                      HE IS A SELLOUT.

And that, I believe, was his true demise. Letting an opponent into our stands and welcoming him with open arms. Go root for the bungles then. I hope he shed a tear when Peyton ran all over his new 'favorite' teams ass on Sunday!

Watch out for him to re-emerge in a cat uniform of some sort in Cincy next....

                        Robbed from another site:

                        dpmisanahole.jpg

                        dpmisanahole2.jpg

                        dpmisanashole3.jpg

Exhibit A: Open arms. Notice the body language and position of DPM's and BD's hands/arms are in. Open, palm side up, clearly saying "Come to us, we'll catch you." Also notice the REAL fans who werent in on the charade have their hands down ready to push Chad away and keep him out of the pound.

Exhibit B: Yellow shirted stadium security already in position. Obviously from the pre-game footage, we see these two dillweeds whispering sweet nothings in each others ears. DPM has recently said in the BD DUI thread, that he was simply discussing Lee Bodden. Uh huh. Can someone please explain to me why there are 2 security members in the exact same place where Ocho Stinko makes his leap? Just a coincidence, huh DPM? Two security guards standing in the front row... not at the end of a row mind you... but actually in front of fans... during live play... not during a timeout. Almost as if the knew something was about to happen... hmmmmmm..

Exhibit 😄 Smiling like a school girls. Notice in photo 2, DPM is smiling like a school girl, clearly in heaven as he is touching a real NFL player AND on national TV. (My god, I'll bet the thought alone still gives him wood!) And I'd bet my bottom dollar that if that if BD didn't have a rubber dog mask covering his ugly mug, we'd see his fat ass smiling too.

Exhibit 😧 Holding on for dear life. Again, in photo two... they real fans are throwing $7 beers on the guy and pushing him away. What are the gay duo doing? Holding on to him. I know, I know... I heard the crock of shît lie already... "Uh... we were... holding him up there so everyone else could uh... beat up on him?" Right, save it asshat. Doesn't look like anyone else got the memo, otherwise, why would they be trying to push him down?

Exhibit E: Clearly not angry... and smiling again. Chad Johnson just scored a TD and disrespected our house by jumping into the dog pound. What is DPM's reaction?

                        Dawgpound_Mike_Traitor.jpg

                        He is a tool.

Question, why would we ever need a fan representative, this is not the board room. We're customers.

Because we need positive publicity in the news, not the hate mongers from out of Cleveland.

Ask John Adams. There are 81 home games a year. He has missed only 37 games in 36 years. I forgot baseball was even being played. But this dude shows up every game. Can you imagine how hard it is to lug a 30lb drum to a 2-1 game with the Royals this year?

maybe he thought it was worth catching chad so everyone else could throw beer on him even though it didn't work out that way. It sure looked like everyone was ready to dump beer on him and Chad wasn't too happy when the whole thing ended...

as much as i would love to dump beer on ochocinco, i never would simply because he is not worth the $8.00 that the beer costs.

I fully disagree. I think it's worth more than $8.00 to pour a beer on him or anyone else jumping into our stands. I'd pour two if I had them available. Or a soda, lemonade or a cup of pee for that matter.

And I'd have grabbed his facemask and held on to it with everything I had so when he slipped down out of his helmet, I'd have poured a beer in it too...

And then I'd have poured the next one I bought on Frye Guy/DPM/Pussycat. Screw him.

😁 I totally agree. I would easily pay 10 dollars to have the memory of dumping my beer all over Chad or TO

hey at least the guy was rooting for 'our' team, self promotion or not. who dictates how one should 'root' anyways? i've seen plenty of people who look like fools dressed up like idiots or have their little nissans painted in yankke pin stripes driving on the cross bronx. are you gonna say they're bad fans? i've checked out some of the tail gate vids on you tube from the muni lot from browns fans, and yes i wish i was there and most make me proud as hell and even choke me up at times (the guy driving the dawg mobile on the hwy behind the new radicals song) but to say this guy is alright chuggin the beer bong, but the other guy is an ass just doesn't make sense. god bless the guy for trying to make a buck.

now if he's an evil crook that's another story.

too bad fans who like the same team have to turn on each other. and for the guys that live to toss beer in an opposing player's face............pathetic. what's that, something to brag about on monday morning?
