Falcons/Browns trivia

I gave away #1. Browns lead 10-2
-
Here's one more for you: How many Falcons draft picks have started at QB int the NFL this season?
Answer: Schaub - Houston, Ryan - Atlanta, Vick - Philly, Favre - Minn.
Makes me sick thinking what the Falcons could have been if Glanville would have had some faith in Favre.

Here is this weeks Trivia re Browns/Falcons. Try your hand:1. OK, someone gave this one away: What is the Browns/Falcons head to head record?
10-2 Browns, thanks whoever.
CHECK (that means correct)
2. What Hall of Fame player played his last two seasons, with the Falcons and Browns respectively. He played only one year for each, retiring after his last year with the Browns. (Hint: he played most of his career with The F***ing Eagles)
Tommy Mcdonald? I don't remember that he playd with the Browns but I think he played for the eagles and falcons.
CHECK. Yep, he played his last season in the NFL with the Browns.
3. Aside from the answer to #2 who is the only other player inducted into the HOF to have ever played for the Falcons? The person also only played 1 year, his final year with the Falcons. (he did not play for the Browns)
Eric dickerson
CHECK, Zombo is killing it so far
4. What former Browns player led the Falcons in receiving in 1990, 1992 and 1993?

CHECK, right, I meant that at one point he was a Brownie.
5. What former Browns fan favorite led the Falcons in receiving in 1995?

7. What famous chicken dancer led the Falcons in receiving in 1985?
Billy white shoes Johnson
Check....(what other chicken dancer do you know?)
8. Who was the Falcons very first draft choice in franchise history in 1966? Hint: he was the #1 overall pick that year
Tommy Nobis
Check
9. The Falcons have also selected overall #1 on three other occasions. Who was chosen by the Falcons on those times?
Nobis, Bartkowski ... Aundray Bruce?
Correct on all these...but there is one glaring omission.
10. Who was the Falcons second round pick in 1991?
Favre
Check
11. Though the Falcons have one of the worst overall winning records in NFL history, they have dominated one AFC franchise against whom they have a .875 winning pct. against. Which team? (Hint: not the Browns)
Jets?
No
12. What former Browns player and Kent State graduate originated the "Dirty Bird" dance?
And for a bonus, where and what is that person doing now?
Don't know that one ... I only remember Jamal Anderson doing it.
OK, but apparently he did not invent it
Zombo came, he saw, he kicked ass. Eight correct answers, plus another half, plus another 2/3rds.

I guess I had forgot that Schaub was picked by the Falcons.
OK, here is another one right back at you: In 2009 Jerry Glanville was a college HC. Which school? (though I believe he is not there this year.)
-
After Zombos performance there are only a few questions left to answer:
Who did the Falcons beat in the 2004 playoffs, their last postseason win?
Who was the 4th player chosen by the Falcons with a #1 overall besides Nobis, Bartkowski and Bruce?
Who do the Falcons have an .875 win pct. against?
Who invented the Dirty Bird, and what is he doing now?

Only 1 question not gotten right, so I may as well close this out:
1. OK, someone gave this one away: What is the Browns/Falcons head to head record?
The Browns do have that 10-2 record against the Falcons. Let's keep that record on the positive side!
2. What Hall of Fame player played his last two seasons, with the Falcons and Browns respectively. He played only one year for each, retiring after his last year with the Browns. (Hint: he played most of his career with The F***ing Eagles)
Tommy McDonald is correct.
3. Aside from the answer to #2 who is the only other player inducted into the HOF to have ever played for the Falcons? The person also only played 1 year, his final year with the Falcons. (he did not play for the Browns)
Eric Dickerson was correct.
4. What former Browns player led the Falcons in receiving in 1990, 1992 and 1993?
That was Andre "Bad Moon" Rison. One of the truly dumbest people ever to play football.
5. What former Browns fan favorite led the Falcons in receiving in 1995?
Eric Metcalf
6. When did the Falcons last win a postseason game and who did they defeat?
2004 they defeated the Rams
7. What famous chicken dancer led the Falcons in receiving in 1985?
Though he was better known for his years with the Oilers, Billy White Shoes Johnson did lead the Falcons in catches that one year
8. Who was the Falcons very first draft choice in franchise history in 1966? Hint: he was the #1 overall pick that year
Tommy Nobis from the University of Texas. Truly, in my mind he probably should be in the HOF. He was a middle linebacker right out of the Dick Butkus, Ray Nitschke, Jack Lambert, Joe Schmidt mold. The only difference....like Archie Manning....is that he played so long for a bad team.
9. The Falcons have also selected overall #1 on three other occasions. Who was chosen by the Falcons on those times?
Steve Bartkowski 1975
Aundray Bruce 1988
Michael Vick 2001
10. Who was the Falcons second round pick in 1991?
Mr. Brett Favre.
11. Though the Falcons have one of the worst overall winning records in NFL history, they have dominated one AFC franchise against whom they have a .875 winning pct. against. Which team? (Hint: not the Browns)
The San Diego Chargers. Falcons are 7-1 all time vs. the Chargers.
12. What former Browns player and Kent State graduate originated the "Dirty Bird" dance?
And for a bonus, where and what is that person doing now?
It was none other than OJ....OJ Santiago that is. He played for a cup of coffee with the Browns at some point, and he, like Josh Cribbs et al was a Kent State graduate. In fact he is the one that inspired fellow Golden Flash Anthony Gates to give a try at playing tight end with obvious success. OJ was not quites as successful as he was completely out of football for several years...BUT...now, he is back playing in the CFL with the Montreal Alouettes. And FYI, he is a native Canadian. He came to Kent State from Canada....and HE is the guy that invented the Dirty Bird dance, which was picked up by other more visible members of the Falcons at the time, like Jamal Anderson. But he started it.
