Kay, the ones you answered worked.

What I can't believe is that no one else had the Kohones to make an effort on these. Maybe too much for the bunch.

I think maybe this was a bit overwhelming for you all to wrap your brains around. So, I will give the answers:

          1. 1945 NFL Champs The Cleveland Rams

          2. SF Giants top HR hitter (career) Willie Mays

          3. Bye, Bye, Bye artists NSYNC

          4. Bye, Bye Birdie spoofs this performer Elvis Presley

          5. Catch line of Total Bastard Airlines Buh Bye.....this was the SNL/David Spade skit where he played a flight attendant.

          6. A special run in Cricket a "Bye"

          7. Team that started in Turnpike Stadium. (that was its official name) Texas Rangers (name later changed to Arlington Stadium, since demolished)

          8. Cleveland's MLB team 1887-1899 The Spiders

          9. British PM 1783-1806 William Pitt. namesake of the City of Pittsburgh

          10. Ruler of Rome 460-439 B.C. Cincinnatus. Namesake of the City of Cincinnati.

          11. aka Cecilius Calvert Lord Baltimore. namesake of the city of Baltimore.

          12. SF/NY Giants first nickname The Gothams

          13. Translated means "son of fire" McCoy

          14. Translated means "The Man" Delhomme

          15. Translated from N.A. means "Place of Stones" Seneca in the Iriquois language

          16. They opposed the Roundheads. The Cavaliers. Goes back to the English Civil War in the 1600s. The Cavaliers were royalists who supported King Charles I, and the Roundheads supported Cromwell and Parliament. Cavaliers got their name from the Spanish "caveleros" who were adventurers. Roundheads came from the shape of the helmet they wore. There were a number of bloody battles between the Cavaliers and the Roundheads.

The following clues will be called "Thesarus Team Names". Give the appropriate team(s) to match (hint: all NFL):

          17. The Jingoists...The Patriots

          18. The Brobdingnagians The Giants or the Titans. Comes from Gulliver's Travels. (the Giants as opposed to the Lilliputians who were the little people)

          19. The Grampus...no, this is not the team that Brett Favre happens to play for. Grampus is a species of Dolphins.

          20. The Aries Rams from the Zodiac sign

          21. The Corsairs could be either Vikings, Buccaneers, or Raiders. Corsairs were a sort of pirate.

          22. The Postilians The Cowboys. Postilians are 'horsmen", though it could be riders in an English hunt or any kind of horseman.

          23. The Grimalkins Panthers, Lions, Jaguars, or Bengals. Grimalkins are a sort of big cat.

          24. The Aithochrous(es) The Browns. Aithochrous is a sort of reddish brown. Probably just like the color of these answers I am giving.

          25. The Ecclisiasts The Saints, or The Cardinals. Both churchy types, nay?
