    Agree.

I'm not totally sold on Mangini, but let's see what happens after another draft & FA class. The team is playing their tails off, and honestly, when we were 1-5 I thought we were headed for 3-13.

    On to Buffalo...

Hahaha I was yawning at this post its the same old tired story from a few of the posters here because they honestly have no clue what they're talking about when it comes to football.

  • Yawn.....another boring agenda driven thread from the gruden fag.

If we win an ugly game, its fail because it was ugly. When will you simpletons realize perfection is almost impossible in this game, and lower you expectations to reasonable when evaluating this team?

  • coco, do you find it hard to hide the fact that your gay..

The only people who think mangini is a good coach is a few homo erotic browns fans.. Everyone is on Grudens nuts! 🙂

  • What's worse?

Some of the play calling or Delhomme in general.

Delhomme aint no colt mccoy and dabs aint no legit playcaller...

But a win is a win even as ugly, boring and unproductive as it may have been...

You are the only one on here who even wants Gruden. If our organization is ever going to get out of the cellar, they need to stick with a coach and Mangini is showing that he can be that coach.

  • tho only thing daboll ajusted to was finnaly calling some play action passes. after 1 1/2 halves of football going to hillis almoast every play, he finnaly realized that a play action would open up the passing game.

it took him far too long to figure out to run that play action, or else we woulda won by alot more.

Alendor, I'm not going to argue about Daboll. Everyone has their opinion about him. To suggest we would have scored a lot more is something I WON'T agree with. Miami's defense is top five in YPG. They're the sixth best rush defense, allowing only 3.7 yards a carry. That was about what Hillis was getting. They're also top ten in scoring and touchdowns allowed. Miami's defense did what they normally do.

Oddly enough, in researching this, I found that the Browns have the tenth lowest opponent QB rating for the season. I didn't think it was that good.

I don't think that he ran Hillis enough. He litterally is our offense and it was still like 35 passes to 18 runs. That is so stupid when you have a guy like Hillis who does better when he gets around 20+ carries and you have a guy like Delhomme throwing to our group of WR.

  • I'm very glad we won. Don't care how, we win and its good. But people need to chill out about saying posters here always find a negative or something wrong. That's because we're all huge fans of football and the Browns. We're going to analyze and comment on it. Not every post is negative, its just discussion. But in all fairness this team has had so many problems in the past that there wasnt much positive to talk about. Hopefully we can be more balanced in the future.

Amen! We all want to win..

What people don't understand I would love to look like an idiot and mangini do well.

What a douche bag you are . I plan to ignore you from this point on .

well, we all saw how our offense opened up in the 4th quarter when the PAs started. we coulda got at least another td if he used em through the first half imo

  • @earl34 said:

The original post here is a joke. In the second half, Brian Daboll adjusted (gasp!!) to take advantage of the key on Hillis. Watson and MoMass were the recipients. No, it wasn't the prettiest game but we slugged it out with a Miami team and we executed well enough to win.

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. I didn't see any adjustments nothing look any different from half to half.

No Vickers in the first half and couldn't run

No Vickers in the second half and couldn't still couldn't run

Its not like Vickers didn't play he was in for a few plays in the 2nd half

first half you send 5 guys out in patterns and have no time to throw

second have you send 5 guys out in patterns and guess what you still have no time to throw

in the first half you have a DE that abusing out RT 1 on 1

in the second half you still have a DE abusing abusing our RT 1on1 why no help?

Hey how about a draw play

Hey how about a screen play to someone other than Hillis

Now all that being said I really don't want to see Daboll gone. A new offense cordinator will just mean a year of this being said.....Oh we got a new offense in and its going to take some time to get stuff right.

    Fair question.

Vickers was in for three run plays. They totaled 2 yards or 0.6 yards per carry.

We ran out of 12 personnel with Royal either blocking out of the backfield or from the second TE position and it was 15 carries for 55 yards or 3.7 a carry. Vickers was also in for several pass plays in the second half and did amazingly little with regard to blocking or receiving.

The two tight end personnel was much more effective because it spread out the front. A man assigned to a FB clogs up the box.

  • Would someone please throw the ball down the field.

The dolphins d is playing us at the line of scrimmage.

Mangini and daboll thanks for sealing ur fate.

I think the problem had multiple causes. The biggest is problem Delhomme's lack of confidence and his propensity to throw ints in recent games has him dumping off as soon as possible. Second probable cause is our WR's are not very good. Third probable cause is the likely the play calling was conservative to avoid Delhomme throwing ints.

When McCoy gets back throwing downfield should return and as he gets more time and situational awareness the downfield throws (which I believe are required to be a playoff contender) should happen
