Tell you what - the Steelers are ALWAYS more beatable when Polly isn't playing. Look no further than the last time they lost this year when he was wearing blue jeans and standing on the sidelines.

As much as I HATE the Steelers, I've learned just how GOOD #43 is and how much that 1 player changes everything. The injury doesn't sound good at all - a strained achilles. He may not make it back for the playoffs with this kind of injury.

This might be a REALLY competitive game when we face Pitt at home.

He's sitting out the rest of the regular season so he can come back for the playoffs. He will be back for the playoffs. Aaron Smith may be back as well. I'm not saying it won't be a good game. I expect most division games to be good games. We win this week and beat the Panthers you may not see starters in week 17.

The biggest problem with an achilles injury is the healing doesn't cooperate with convenience. The news I read is they HOPE Pollyneedsabrushcut can return. Hope is nice when it's 3-4 weeks away; but you really don't want to get stupid (rushing him back partially healed) with a player of his magnitude with the location of injury known for ending careers. Ever hear of Jamir Miller?

We play the panthers and you. We'll have a first round bye. Do you honestly believe we'll lose all 3 of the final 3 games zombie. Even you aren't this delusional. As far as polamalu is concerned if he can go he'll go. 3 weeks is a ample amount of time and if we get the bye its 4 weeks. He'll be back and Aaron Smith is possible.

Somehow the Stoolers have all the tie-breakers they need to have clinched a wild card slot in the playoffs.

And now history repeats itself? Pittsburgh looked alot tougher that week they got their excuse to wear hot pink. That took "Pretty in Pink" to adorable new heights.

I have that Injury right Now. I Play basketball 3 days a week... Rest will heal it preferably a Month. But 2 weeks of will give you ability to go out and Play fairly Pain Free. I have had the Injury for 8 weeks ... Havnt Missed a Night Playing till this week. (Missed ONE week) and will Play again Tomorrow... You can Play its not Dangerous just Very Painful... and in Football if it gets HIT ...YIKES. the injury happens a lot to Players who push themselves a little too hard. He could play in playoffs for sure... a Bye would be Great. Not sure ... we will Beat the Browns without Troy. After all its you guys SUPERBOWL !! And your team is Far better than its Record.

I never had an achilles injury, but have had about everything else over the years, torn ACL, cartilage, concussion, lost teeth..... I hope yours heals well.

I saw some statistics somewhere yesterday, wish I had the link...that Steeler defense is absolutely not the same with P not there. HUGE difference in wins, yardage yielded, everything across the board.

There is some kind of therapy that is used to heal stuff faster, involves removing some kind of component from a player's blood, concentrating it, and injecting it into the injury site. Relatively new, and is why some players can return more quickly than one would think humanly possible from tears and sprains. Anyone know anything about this? I bet they have him on it right now and are passing out rosary beads to the players hoping it will work.

BTW, I once stood next to Polamalu and was shocked at how small he was. His listed height is ridiculous, more like a 5' 8" ish guy but very wide.

I think this is Polly's foot in this video and it looks like all of Polly' hair is on his head.......... or he shaves his legs.

  • I want to see someone rip his hair out. It is considered part of the jersey - So it is technically legal 😛

nice.................you don't have a player that deserves to be on the same field as Troy......so you hope someone gives him a dirty shot.

    stay classy cleveland.

umm, yeah. did you guys clinch?

what would it be like for browns fans to KNOW that their team has clinched a playoff spot in week 15?

just like "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?"...........the world may never know.

it's not "somehow". it's quality play from an outstanding team that led to a great division/conference standing.

it's not magic............it may seem to be, but it's just good football.
