Slingin' Sammy was from a by-gone era. Dude played his ass off for the love of the game. 60 minute man. Even had a movie career in old westerns when it was almost unheard of for athletes to make it in tinsel town.

Unfortunate that most people--myself included--kept forgetting that the guy was still alive. Granted, it was a different game back then, but what a machine...make Tim Tebow look like a pisher.

Listening to Rome today, he made comment about the fact that Baugh the one year led the league in touchdown passes, interceptions AND punting! He called it winning the "Punt, Pass and Pick" contest... lol
