i think a mass majority of us wishes you weren't a browns fan. yeah man, sorry. it's been another rough year AGAIN. some of our fan base have been wishing for this day 4 games into the season, which i find out of line. i live and breath the browns and try to respect everyone's views here. even the steeler fans. there are a certain amount of posters here that just come to antagonize and this guy just hits the right buttons......
i really lost a lot of respect for holmgren with this decision BUT he is more knowledgeable about this than i could ever be. let's hope he knows what he's doing. if not we'll be having these same type of threads next year.

Let's just hire Lane Kiffin and stop with the mumbo jumbo. Kiffin is clearly the best candidate and has displayed his excellent coaching capabilities while coaching the Tennessee Volunteers, USC Trojans, and Oakland Raiders.

On a side note as a level III USA Hockey official I think your avatar should have been called as interference. Much like the caps 1st goal was goalie interfernce on Sat.. You can't knee a goal tender then stab at the puck should have been blown dead. Just my honest opinion as an official not just a lifelong PENS fan.

He's taken some undeserved abuse from fans and players since coming to the league as an '87 (17 yr old). He's got a Cup a Gold medal and a WJC silver. Thanks to Fleury's poor puck handling (GO USA).
If ovi had the drive and work ethic of sid the caps would have won a cup by now. His natural ability is amazing but his skating and puck control is sloppy. When he gets shut down he start playing dirty. I'll give it to him for taking a real fight. That's tough it was my job on Jr. A team it's tough.

Yea Tox, I don't like the call either, while I don't lose respect for The Walrus, it's all on him now. We fail it is his fault. I really think he is doing what is best for the franchise and am excited for the draft. Until then, my thumb will be up my ass because the NBA sucks.

Chris Mortensen just said on SC that the Browns' first choice is Jon Gruden, but if he won't come to Cleveland the next best option is Holmgren.

There is to much money being spent on players who do not hold up to our expectations. and after yesterdays loss even I said that we need to fire Mangini, where as a week ago I was willing to give him another year. But it was apparent that he lost atleast half of this team somewhere along the lines and they quit playing weeks ago.

What does the loss to Buf. Cincy and near miss with Carolina say? Mangini had no fire and didn't inspire or extract any extra from what he had. Look at the way he dropped that challenge flag yesterday. Just opened his hand and let it fall out. Toss it on the feild in disgust, fire it on the ground do something to show you care about what is happening.

Every team could use some talent. Even NE could use some rec. that are over 5'10" its what you do with what you have that matters. Even a bad coach can win when the team is stacked.
I took what amounted to be a all-star team to a State hockey Championship and I'm not a good hockey coach.
