Will Ohio State ever play someone good in Non Conference? Stop playing the Marshall, and those bad teams...play some top 10 teams. You aren't Western Kentucky who has a excuse for playing a weak non conference schedule.

Agreed, I will respect OSU when they play an SEC schedule. And win.

Play Bama, LSU, Florida, Auburn, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. In one year. Welcome to the SEC.

OSU is one of the few teams that actually play meaningful non-conference games. 2010-Miami, 2009-USC, 2008-USC, 2007-Washington, 2006-Texas, 2005-Texas.

Florida is the team with a weak non-conference schedule

  • Did you just say Miami and meaningful in the same sentence?

I'm not a florida fan...fan of a team in the SEC though

At the time it was very meaningful, they were ranked #12 in the country

Florida has to play a weak non-conference schedule. If Florida had a tough non-conference schedule, they would be playing top 25 teams literally every week.

And did you honestly mention Miami and Washington as meaningful non-conference games? Washington is a joke, always has been. This was Miami's worst season this decade. And they still beat you. No sorry, according to King Ghoolie Lives, they wiped their asses with you.

That may be true, my point was that OSU doesn't play all cupcake non-conference games as he tried to make it sound.

Indeed I did, when they were scheduled they were meaningful. Along with USC and Texas, but that dont really matter to you.

No, actually I think that is just one of your "facts" that was incorrect. You said it in two different posts and repeated it in answering mine. You may want to back out of the thread and keep pretending that you know what you are talking about before real facts are revealed.

Anyone want to guess what the Bowl record is of the almighty SEC against the lowly Big10 in the Bowl game in the BCS era?

Conference with most BCS wins: SEC (14)

Conference with most BCS National Championships: SEC (6)

Most BCS Championships: Florida and LSU (2)

  • I don't know why it is so hard for Big Ten fans to give the SEC props. They're tough and talented and winning boat loads of NC's.

And WTF is it about SEC fans pissing all over Ohio State? We play some good non-con teams every year, and some cream puff non-cons. But we are not horrible. Look who we lost to in the SEC lately -- Florida (National Champs) and LSU (National Champs)

We played the best and lost. WTF is so wrong about this?

I'll give you a hint, they have played 34 games against one another. So, if the SEC was so much better then what would your guess be? 25-26 wins? Hmmmm.

In your case, nothing. I can tell you are modest. There are other folks on this board, aka King Ghoolie Lives, claiming that Ohio State is the best team in college football. And to be honest, Ohio State plays a pretty easy non-conference schedule. They usually have one real non-conf game per year, this year it was Miami (who turned out to be not so good.)

I just hate hearing OSU fans boast about how great they are because they play lower tier teams and win big, then they play a real team and get stomped. Then next year, the same exact stuff. Albert Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is continuing to do the same thing and expecting different results."

I do give you props, though. You played a pretty good team in Arkansas and won. Although a couple of your top players shouldn't have been playing, a win is a win.

  • SEC leads 20-14??

The SEC is tough and probably the best conference in the nation. I have zero problem stating that. My problem is that it isn't nearly as far ahead of other conferences as the SEC honks like to think that they are.

You do realize that Tressel coached teams are 5-3 in BCS Bowl games with a championship ring to show for it. I know that fact won't sit well with your agenda but there it is.
