As a Florida Gators fan, I don't have much confidence in Tressel. Any team with a decent amount of speed has destroyed OSU, where in the NFL, every team possesses SEC-level speed.

I have nothing against Tressel, he seems like a classy guy. I just don't know if he'd be the best fit for our organization.

Yeah like faster than jet speed Oregon last year.....KEEP DRINKING THE SPEED COOL AID

meanwhile Tressel has won more the current ten years than any other coach.....ALL OF EM

Doesn't mater da ich, these young uns on this board don't understand things like wins and losses very well.

Don't forget that one of those cute little Fiesta Bowls was in fact a National Championship.

They just wiped their asses with Arkansas and owuld have wiped their ass with Homo Auburn.

31-26 is hardly "wiping your asses." That's a one possession win. Ohio State would have no shot at beating Auburn. Top tier speed in the Big Ten is linebacker speed in the SEC. Get used to it. We play a different game. A better game. You beat an average SEC team, good luck trying to play with Bama, Auburn, and LSU. Oh, no wait, you already played LSU didn't you? Now correct me if I'm wrong, but you consider a 5 point win an "ass wiping." LSU beat you beat 14 points, so I guess they spit on you, wiped their asses with you, then left you out to dry. Then repeated.

    @king-ghoolie-lives said:

They wiped their ass with Oregon, who NOW, because OSU had a glitch with Wisconsin, get to avoid playing the best team in college football.

Haha good joke. OSU is the best team? Is that why they lost to the sorry ass Miami Hurricanes?

    @king-ghoolie-lives said:

IF there was a College playoff system and these SEC homos didn't have to play always in pristine Southern conditions, and benefit form OSU not playing for 48 days, the Buckeyes would win the National Title 7 out og 8 years. No problem, no question.

Oh, I'm sorry, but I guess we SEC "homos" play in the pristine Southern conditions because we are the SOUTH EASTERN CONFERENCE. It's not our fault the Buckeyes play in the shitty weather, it was their decision to play in the shitty weather. Once again, if OSU actually played in a real conference, they would have had a conference championship to play in. But they don't.

Don't argue with the SEC. You can't win this battle, look at the stats.

Yeah, we looked at the stats, and the B10 and SEC have split regular season.

Too bad as others have pointed out you're so busy bashing Ohio State you didn't even realize they BEAT Miami this year. 😆 😆

Now as to "cupcakes" let's look at Auburn, shall we? They Played Chattanooga, Louisiana Monroe, Arkansas State. and an eight loss Mississippi team that lost to Jackson State. Powerhouses all- well, not exactly.

Alabama played San Jose State, Duke, and Georgia State. So take your "cupcakes" and shove 'em- every major football power plays their fair share of them.

And they were barely bowl eligible this year. Or are we just picking and choosing what we want here?

Barely bowl eligible is fine. They beat a Not so Big Ten team didn't they? Proof that the Gators can have one of their most mediocre seasons in years and still beat a top Big Ten team.

man, who are you and why the fxxk should we care what you have to say? obviously you're not from ohio and if you are i wouldn't claim you as a fellow buckeye,,,,,,,,,,,,(the state tree and name, if you already didn't know). and if you are from ohio you should be ashamed of yourself falling in love with the sec. it's no different than an ohio steeler's fan. or someone rooting for the yankees that was born in lima.

yeah you can take the indians hat off your head in your sig because we don't want you as a fan. traitor.

We played the best and lost. WTF is so wrong about this?

In your case, nothing. I can tell you are modest. There are other folks on this board, aka King Ghoolie Lives, claiming that Ohio State is the best team in college football. And to be honest, Ohio State plays a pretty easy non-conference schedule. They usually have one real non-conf game per year, this year it was Miami (who turned out to be not so good.)

I just hate hearing OSU fans boast about how great they are because they play lower tier teams and win big, then they play a real team and get stomped. Then next year, the same exact stuff. Albert Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is continuing to do the same thing and expecting different results."

I do give you props, though. You played a pretty good team in Arkansas and won. Although a couple of your top players shouldn't have been playing, a win is a win.

UH, have you seen the non-coference schedules of most SEC schools? It is cupcake after cupcake after cupcake. They won't play anyone difficult hardly. At least OSU will play 1 or 2 really difficult non-conf. games.

  • tressel got damn lucky in that game. He does not have the killer instinct to put teams away. Arkansas came screaming back after Tressel took his foot off of the pedal and wanted to run the clock out in the 2nd half. If the guy picks up the blocked punt (which he should have done instead of falling on it) Ohio State would be 0-10 against the SEC.

If your aunt had a dick, she'd be your uncle.

That being said, yes, sometimes Tressel does play it too close to The Vest when he gets a big lead.

WE? Who the eff are 'we'?

When did you play football for the Florida Gators?

Unless you played for them there is no "we".

OK, I will make this concession: If you attended that college I will accept that you can say 'we'.

OK, if you are a Florida alumni, the "we" is OK. And touting the accomplishments of that school is fine.

But then, the only team you should be giving a rat's ass about is Florida. Not your enemies in the SEC. Why on God's Green Earth shoule you give a shit about them.

That would be as ignorant as an Ohio State alumni "rooting" for Michigan.

You can ask any of the various OSU alumni that are on this board, if Florida were playing Michigan in a bowl game say, who do you think they would be rooting for? Certainly not that team up north.

Would you root for Georgia if they were playing Michigan?

If so, then I think we would have to have you classified as a sociopath.

Not at all. During bowl season, I root for every SEC team to win. When teams in your conference win, it proves you play in a strong conference. The SEC is the strongest conference.

It really doesn't. Back when bowl games meant something you may have had a point but when Louisville beats Southern Miss. in the Beef 'o' Brady Bowl it really doesn't say a single thing about the strength of the Big East.

again I still say this wouldn't be the case if the SEC didn't have home bowl games every year...

Thats how the SEC fans do it their loyalty to their school is flimsy at best and they'll root for other SEC team all the time. They say it's just bowl season but it happens all the time.

They'll just get a bag of scholarships and a stopwatch and send their coach down to the local juvenile detention center to do some recruitin'.

Anyone just see KU get there ass kicked by PITT. KU is an SEC team right???? Look out for Vandy and Miss St. next year........
