  • Love this hire! Who has the second best special teams group in the NFL? DA BEARS!

  • good hire

  • We have a core of players and the guy is equipped to do the job.

    I agree....a good hire.

  • meh...

  • Impressive hire. Like many others, I was extremely concerned over the loss of Seely, but I don't know how we could have done much better.

  • Josh Cribbs is the coach of our special teams unit now.

  • I'm thinking Cribbs needs to get off special teams and concentrate on being slot guy and overall weapon on offense given the WCO being implemented. He is beginning to break down and teams are kicking away from him anyway. Of bigger concern is Dawson not being resigned and Hodges not duplicating his fantastic year. We can find another return guy.

  • We lost one of the best special team coaches in the NFL..period

And then we gained one right after. It's like losing a 20 carat diamond and then finding a 19 3/4 carat one. We hardly down graded at at special teams coordinators.

i think he needs to do one or the other, not both. i don't know if he at the point of 'breaking down' but he will if they have him out there every play.

    Hester's done OK doing both.

  • Just a general reply.

We have been trying to get Cribbs worked in at receiver for a while now and it really hasn't happened.

Possibly this is due to a coaching deficit. On the other hand, possibly it is because Cribbs can't play the position.

My feeling is Josh is nearing the end of his peak years. If I could trade the guy for a decent pick, I would. I just don't see him ever going back to returning 3-4 kicks a year or ever being more than a sideshow at some of the other offensive positions.
