Here are today's survey questions:

Pittsburgh. I will use reverse psychology here in naming them.
2. Do you think the Groundhog will see his shadow and we will get 6 more weeks of bad winter weather?
We will get 6 weeks or more of bad winter whether the Ground Hog sees his shadow or not.
3. Do you think that Egypt and Tunisia and some of these other Mideast countries will actually wind up having a democratic government?
I think eventually some will. Others will probably not. How long and how much consternation it will take to get there I don't know, but this has somewhat of the same feeling that occurred late 80s early 90s with all the authoritarian communist countries that turned democratic. At least I hope so.
Some of the autocratic Muslim nations very well may become democratic, like Hungary and Poland and Romania did. Some will resist mightily, like China did, and North Korea, and Cuba.
4. How far back can you trace your lineage?
Specifically, on my Dad's size to pre-Revolutionary War. Not as far on my Mom's side.
However, on my Mom's side I have a history of the O'Duibhir clan that traces the family's lineage all the way back to, uh....Adam.
5. What is your favorite mixed drink?
For a few years, it was the lawyer's drink. Scotch and soda. Lately it is Irish on the rocks....but I actually drink those very rarely. I would venture to say that I have probably not had 5 mixed drinks in the last year. I am more likely to have some white wine with dinner, or a couple of beers at most watching the game with the boys.

The clan, along with all Irish clans, lost their positions and holding during the Cromwellian invasion and tyranny in the 1600s. All their land was given to English "carpetbaggers" if you will, and the names were all Anglicized.
