We had the momentum and would have had control of the game had we scored on that drive. Yes I believe that was the turning point. Let's not forget that neither int can 100% fall on ben. His throwing shoulder was clocked on the first and jarret bush made a hell of a play on the second. Ben did after all come back and throw two td's after those ints and rushed for another. The biggest momentum shift at that stage was the fumble. Nickers you've been on the soap box a lot lately and honestly I'm not sure why. I've come across as egotistical only when I'm being attacked about specific things. The one instance was intentionally over the top as a bit of a joke. I am here for those reasons. I'm also very argumentative. Don't forget I went to college in ohio and have several great friends that are browns diehards. We argued all the time so coming here is just keeping me abreast and alleviating boredom. I'm really not her to troll but I'm prideful like the rest of you so when my boys in black and gold are thrown under the bus I'm going to respond as would any of you. I may call someone a mouth breather or a moron but I only take it to that point if someone attempts to insult me. I've been here a while now. I first posted under snatch98. Id guess its been about two years or longer and over that period of time I've truthfully never felt insulted despite the hundreds of specifics efforts to do so. Slurp I am old enough to remember when the steelers were homecoming games so the browns could get 40 points yet that is a distant memory as the steelers
draft well, have smart Gms, top coaches, keep their talent and play the same hard nosed physical football every year.
I have seen the browns trot out rookie gms who never did the job, rookie head coaches or failed fromer coaches , draft horribly,
coach horribly, and watch them beaten like a division 2 team.
Finally heckert ended the hot streak of stupid that went from Clark to Garcia to Opie to Kokinis.
Yet Shurmer seems to fit right in with such luminaries as Palmer to Davis to Crennel to Mangini to Shurmer, all rookie HCs and one a shotgun wedding to a guy freshly shoved out the door in NY.
Shurmer has no head coach experience and was a mediocre OC.
We go from Ryan, who performed defensive alchemy with so little talent to "by the book" Jauron who promises a new scheme on a team desperately thin at Dline and we cut our best player
(Rogers).
It is 1999 again folks, unless Shurmer pulls a blanton Collier and heckert has the most amazing draft of his career, and we draft a lawrence taylor on defense.

I never put myself on a pedestal and that rant was 100% a over the top joke. If anyone took what I said in context they'd realize I was being intentionally over the top out of spite. I sure as hell don't need to remind people and as I've said 100 times I have several great, great friends that are Browns diehards. I spent a lot of time in Ohio and right now my gf lives in Columbus while she looks for work here. I moved to work on our house and to take a job. I've never been here to troll and truly don't care if people think I am here for that purpose. I do enjoy arguing so it gets me in to trouble more often than not. However it's not like anyone here makes it difficult. A steeler related thread or comment is made daily even though we're in the midst of the off season. As far as proving people wrong we're arguing opinions here and my opinion is different than some. However it's not different than all and some of you have turned on Pizza who has been speaking objectively the entire time. Fact of the matter is no matter who you are on this board if you disagree with the masses you're thrown under the bus like cannon fodder. It doesn't matter if you bleed the brown and orange. I haven't back pedaled from anything and stood by my opinions the entire time. If someone posted something worth changing my mind I would but there has yet to be a convincing argument.
I've already explained why Watson's numbers were inflated. All ignored and I wasn't alone with that one (Insert Pizza and his travels under the bus) Certain people just CAN'T be civil and that's the humorous part in it all. You have to do much more analysis of a situation that you have put forth such as this above. It is not enough to just state facts, you must explain why those facts exists.

If I thought I was wrong I would have admitted it already. Ben Watson dropped off the map in New England and is exactly why they let him walk and drafted two rookies. The same two rookies that saw the ball a TON this year. Watson had a rookie QB and very marginal targets on either side of him. He certainly has speed so he proves to be a bit of a match up problem for some LB's. If you're getting more targets than any other receiver on the team one could expect a player in the NFL to rack up decent yardage. I'd love to see the targets break down for all receivers/tight ends on the Browns this past season. If we're all being objective and Watson is so good then why did he end up with the Browns? People didn't go hard for him in free agency despite him being rated the top TE in a free agent class that was absolutely dismal AT best. Who knows maybe the Browns are a good fit for him and he'll see a resurgence but once season until proven otherwise is aberration. He had one other good season statistically and the rest ducks up until now. His previous team New England loves to use their TE's and are pass happy with Brady. Sorry guys I'd admit I was wrong if I felt I was/am wrong but I'm not on this one. Watson may prove otherwise. I still wouldn't take him over Miller or Heap. Gresham doesn't have enough of a track record so I'll stop "trolling" with the "worst in the AFC north" He may be 3rd (Watson)
