Wallace is a good back up who has mobility. He works better coming into games when teams haven't specifically game planned for him but he also manages to be a good spot starter if the #1 guy goes down for a few weeks. Most importantly he is very knowledgeable in the WCO that is being put in so he can help out McCoy. Any reason other teams never really looked at him were because of his arm strength which is average for the WCO and just not good enough for any other kind of offense. Anyone here who watched him play last year knows that he can't throw a side line pass to save his life, even if it's only 10 yards off the line, but he can still throw an accurate pass 40 yards down the middle of the field.
Good back up, way better than Delhomme at this point in his career, we needed to resign him, and if we didn't you could have seen him either A) Go start for the Vikings, or
possibly go back and take over in Seattle if they can't resign Hassleback. -

He doesn't have good arm strength over all because of the fact that he can't throw to the side line period. It's like the closer the pass is to the middle of the field, the farther and more accurate he can throw it.

aren't you talking about accuracy then? i guess what i'm referring to is arm strenght in regards to whether or not he can throw the deep ball. he definitely has problems with short and long passes along the sidlines. your assessment of his passes being more accurate if they're closer to the middle of the field is dead right. like i said before, there's a reason why he's a backup.
