you and me both know how the ocd steeler trolls are. they don't deal with facts, they just roll with whatever suits their agenda. the browns were fined, but we have no idea what the specifics of the browns situation was. and just because a team is fined doesn't mean they can't dispute the fine. we have yet to hear from the browns on this matter and until i hear something from them, i won't rush to judgement.

what you said is true, but i'd rather make it to the superbowl and lose than go an average of 5-11 for an entire decade of my franchise's history. i'd rather worry about my players being a little worn out after playing into january and having a shorter offseason than KNOW WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT that my team is gonna get plenty of rest after their scheduled 16 games.

according to espn, the pd has reported the nfl is fining the browns $50,000 and the browns are appealing this fine.

Before NFL owners locked out the players on March 11 -- which halted all contact between coaches and players -- McCoy was given a copy of new coach Pat Shurmur's playbook of his version of the West Coast offense. McCoy has been devouring the book, but it's not clear how much of the new offense McCoy and his receivers can practice without coaches present.
According to a source, the Browns were fined $50,000 by the league office for having "improper contact" with McCoy and other players before the lockout began. The Browns have appealed the fine and believe they will win.
They also got it cleared with NFL chief legal counsel Jeff Pash before the lockout that it was within league rules for McCoy to receive the playbook.
