Anybody Wanna Make A Trade With Redskins?
-
PFT is has also posted a rumor yesterday I think, that Houston is going to try and trade up to get Peterson. Most mocks have Peterson falling to the Browns (and subsequently being taken by the 49ers at #7). Would this be worth a trade back, or should we just take Peterson?
-
Great question !
If the Browns desperately want either Watt or Jordan, NO. They both are probably gone, maybe, and there isn't anybody else to pick, for a big, smart, dominant
DE to play the 4-3 there at 11, if not the rest of the first round...
If the Browns would be delighted with another CB (Brandon Harris or Prince or Aaron Williams and extra picks... heck YES,
But I think Houston will stay put and nab Prince. Peterson isn't the complete star CB - he needs some coaching, but he is the superior athletic talent.
And, YES if the Browns are targeting Julio, but I don't think so.
-
Guys, the point of a mock draft isn't who SHOULD be taken with that pick, but who you predict will be taken with that pick given the team at hand.
With that said, the Panthers shouldn't choose Newton, but they probably will.

Yeah i still remember Mel Kiper Jr. betting everything on Clausen last year saying hes a top 10 talent, blah blah blah yeah Kiper how'd that work out for yeah lol...Anyways i think this is going to be the craziest draft in terms of you really have no idea what the hell is going on, this labor situation through a monkey wrench in everyones plans...And i bet theres gonna be more than 4 teams that trade away 2012 picks to get who they want in this draft

I thought there could be no trading of any draft picks or players because of the lockout?

Its defentily Peterson if hes there when we pick, the only way i would considered someone else with him on the board is maybe Green just because of the Need at WR...Which would come down do you take the need position or do you take Peterson the BPA,in which case you always go BPA with maybe the only excepetion is if you need a QB ala Carolina with Newton. But i think Green may just be a slight grade lower than Peterson...Hes that good,so unless Peterson isnt there i think hes the guy.
And if Peterson is gone and Green is there id take him, i dont get the Jones hype at 6, hes not as fast as his combine speed suggests and lacks seperation which is the number one thing that determines whether a recevier busts or not in the NFL..
Jones is a reach at 6 and if we did trade back with the Redskins id still go DE over Jones

There's a possibility a QB could fall to us. Carolina took two last year including Clausen, I don't see how they draft another this year.
Denver took Tebow in the 1st, same situation how could they draft another after only a year.
Buffalo has said there high on Fitzpatrick, I think they take Green at 3.
Cincinnati is a big question mark with Palmer, do they trade him? Will he retire if not? Mike Brown loves him some high profile players so Newton would make since here.
Arizona has DA, why would they need a QB...haha, they were really impressed with the rookie that played a few games but I don't know if its enough to warrant not taking a QB.
Cincy and Arizona to me are the 2 I would think most likely to pick QB, but they might wait until the second round and take Dalton, Ponder, locker or Mallet.
There's talk all of them going in the first round so thats a risk to, I've heard Mallet in the top 10. If somebody falls in love with his big arm that could be a trade possibility also.
that's what i've been saying for months now. I would say that the cardinals EASILY have the worst QB situation in the league right now. I don't see if Gabbert or Newton are there if you don't take one unless their scouts are really sold off on them. I'm just not sold on any of the second tier QB's, maybe Mallet but the cardinals need a start from day one guy. Either way I can safely say this is the least sure draft i've seen in a long time, I still right now have no clue really what's going to happen.

For some reason I don't see Arizona taking a QB in the first round. This team is built to win with the right QB and I think they believe that QB is already in the league. I look for Arizona to take a QB later in the draft and making a play for a FA like Kolb, Hasselback or McNabb. Just my opinion. But then again I think Mike Brown is stubborn enough to not draft a qb until the middle of the draft and expect that Palmer will be back.

Agree on Mike Brown not taking a QB with the 4th overall pick, for some reason i think he will probaly wait till round 2 to grab one of the other guys, unless they all start coming off the board late round 1 he may be forced to trade back into the first like other teams...He's an idiot in my opinon though if a player (Palmer) isnt going to play for you any longer get what you can outta him say a 2nd rounder and move on by building your team through the draft ala Patriots, but Mike Browns Ego is to big and he'd rather see Palmer retire than see anything in return and to me thats just retarted
And Arizona i also think may choose to not to select one ethier, but im a lil torn on that situation because when Whisenhunt the Offensive Cordinator and the Owner all go to see Gabbert work out that shows me they are at least interested, its the only time the Owner of Arizona as ever gone to see a player work out...So there is some interset there how much only we shall see

I believe that the Panthers will NOT take Newton. Reason being is, he isn't NFL ready. Look how long it took Vick to come around.
Newton is a few years of project. But, no other qb this year looks like a top five pick to me. By comparison, Bradford WAS all that.
This year is going to be crazy. Carolina could draft Peterson or A.J. Green, and the whoops and hollers would be heard all over the country !
I'll bet there's a bunch of big bottles of antacid pills all over the Carolina Panther's front offices...

It didn't take any longer for Vick to come around then any other good rookie QB. He was drafted in 2001 and made the pro bowl in 2002 (and beat the Packers in GB in the playoffs) ... can't really ask for more then coming around that quickly.
I don't think the Panthers will draft Newton, but I also still think it is too early to tell on Clausen ... but if they took Newton it certainly wouldn't shock me at all.

Newton is almost a lock to go to Carolina and if he dosent theres no way he makes it past Buffalo..Buddy Nix wanted Tebow last year and with Chan Gailey calling the plays they could design the offense around him
