Turns out, McNabb wasn't their first FA choice. That honor went to...wait for it...
...Tyler Thigpen, from tiny old Coastal Carolina University, where I played football. Turns out the Norsemen FO saw something they really liked in the 27 year old 7th round draft pick, hence the reason they originally drafted him.
Since being drafted, Thigpen has bounced around the league, starting for a handful of games in Kansas City and then being whisked through the QB turnstile in Miami. It seems the Vikings were beaten out though by the Bills. According to Thigpens agent, the Bills just offered too much money not to take, and that he'll have a good chance of earning the starting nod there.
Is it safe to say McNabb is washed up yet?
