Broderick Bunkley To The Browns!
-
I'm not sure there was much of a gap left by this guy. He was a back-up anyway.
-
Heckert is a douche... I hate his fat face and beaty little eyes
Yup, the guys only the best evaluator of talent we've had since we came back as evident by last years draft alone.
If he gets 2 instant starters out of this class which already looks like a sure thing, emphisis on "looks", heckert looks like a god compared to what we've had in the last 20 years
In Tom we trust
-
This would be disappointing...
@tonygrossi:
#Eagles help Tom Heckert exert some pressure on holdout Phil Taylor w/trade of Brodrick Bunkley.
Using a 5th RD pick to pressure your first round pick?
More so... "look what happened to the last DT I picked in the 1st RD".
-
I wonder how the jew heckert feels about shurmer the nazi??
We should run blitzkrieg this year
-
He was the Eagles starter in 07,08,09 and got injured week 5 of 2010. He wasn't a backup, he's 27 with 3 years starting experience and we only gave up a 5th rounder for him....Great deal, keep'em coming Heckert.
-
dude, what's with the Jew shit? two slurs three days...
no place here.
i'm not, but I still don't like it
Dude relax i have lots of jew friends. People now a days are way too sensitive.
here is a defition of the work Jew
jew 3232 up, 2501 down
Can be used as an insulting term for a person who is 1) stingy, 2) scheming, 3) fanatical, or 4) insists on using past injustices to justify special treatment.
In also the term that refers to a proud and noble group of people with rich traditions.
1) Quit being such a jew and spring a few bucks on your girlfriend
2) Shylock was such a Jew
3) You're getting really Jewish about this new cause of yours
4) Quit being such a jew and stop expecting us to be nice to you because your girlfriend broke up with you 2 months ago

OY VEY!! what a move! hold on to your hats boys, the excitement is overwhelming.
another nickel and dime move.
this is a classic way of how not to make off season deals. by the time we build or fill the needs of positions to become a whole team, heckertt's draft picks from the past couple of years that do pan out will be on the FA market and get scoffed up by teams that actually have some balls and will pay somebody.
like his picks, hate this sit on your hands mentality in FA.
-
He brought in Hillis, Watson, Fujita, GoCong and Sheldon Brown last year. Nobody thought they were big signing's, turns out their some of our best players. Have a little faith.

This is the typical narrow-mindedness that not only fans, but people such as al Davis and Dan Snyder that have successful franchises ex// patriots, steelers, eagles.... Absolutely laughing.
You build through the draft. Period. It's not a debatable subject. It's been proven time and time again since the modernization of free agency. This isn't just applicable to football. Any team in a league that operates with a hard cap system that is lacking in talent at multiple positions cannot buy a winner in free agency. You draft talent and sign stop gap roll players until you are no longer lacking in talent.
When alas you have aquired enough talent, you can sign big name free agents in an attempt to push your team over the top. Until our browns have enough core talent, keep the nickel and dimes coming.
There's a differenc between building a team to have a winning season and building a winning franchise. Tom understand this, Mike understands this. When the rest of the people that follow this great organization realize this there will be a lot less bitching about the players we don't have, and a lot more intelligent debate about how to use the players we do have.

i'll bet you dime to donuts i've been following this team since you were shitting yellow in your diapers. since when was any subject not debatable?
sure we are a storied franchise. now can you tell me what we've done since reinstatement in '99? exactly.
-
I'd hate to be friends with many of you in real life. Nothing but whiny bitches.
Go root for the Bills.

Agreed. Being 23 and from Canada I'd imagine you've been following the browns before id watched an NFL game or even been born, but i am an educated fan and have done my research, and i know perfectly well the colossal failure that has been the browns since '99
But this franchise has yet to have a FO as skilled as this since 96, and the only way to obtain talent was to try and sign it through FA. We tried that, we failed at it, over and over and over.
This is the new browns, the browns that are going to bring us back to our playoff days
-
... Of the 80's and earlier. We finally have the ability to draft talent, and talent at the correct positions at the right time.
I'm not saying we shouldn't be critical of our front office, all I'm saying is I'd rather hear people talk about the players we have than the players we don't have. We're building a talented group here. Let's recognize it and enjoy our remaining years as a bottom feeder, cause it won't last long

Since you've been around that long (& BTW, I've probably been around as long as you) you ought to be able to answer that one yourself. We had an owner and now his son make some monumentally bad decisions in hiring Front Office personnel, who in turn hired some monumentally bad coaches and did some horrendous drafting, if you really want to know.
I happen to agree- with the Chris. You don't start bringing in guys like Asomugah until you're ready to take a serious run at the Super Bowl. Nnamdi would win us what? Maybe another game or two? Not good enough yet.
Signing every FA in sight does what? It makes you look just like the Redskins, who have been trying that route for years under Dan Snyder.
-
Bunkley is not as bad as some of you think. I seen better reactions when we got the semi-retired version of Ted Washington. The dude is not a bust. Was he drafted to high? Yes. Does that make him useless? No.
-
i don't think any of us would have thought that we had a snowball's chance in hell to get asomuga. just asking to maybe plug a hole here and there that's what i expect. not this every year talk of we're gonna take it slow in FA and end up with corky from 'life goes on'.
